Im Oktober sind erwartungsgemäss fast alle Einrichtungen auf dem Platz geschlossen. Der Platz selber ist schön zentral gelegen, doch ziemlich ruhig. Alle nötigen Geschäfte sind in der Nähe (zu Fuss erreichbar). Der Strand ist knapp 1 Kilometer weit weg und super! Breit und flach, ideal zum Wandern und Fahrradfahren. Überhaupt: Für Fahrradfahrer ein Paradies, diese belgische Küste! Die Kusttram (Straßenbahn) ist ebenfalls fussläufig erreichbar und das ideale (und preisgünstige) Verkehrsmittel für die ganze Küste.

Leider ist im Mai das Schwimmbad noch nicht in Betrieb und die Gaststätte nur von Samstag auf Sonntag. Schade! Aber ansonsten findet man in 100m Entfernung eine Bäcker Metzger und 2 Tante-Emma-Läden und Zeitungsgeschäft. Mit Hund ist es etwas schwierig. Sie müssen immer eine Tüte dabei haben. Dafür sind die Gehwege echt super sauber. Die Bahn befindet sich in 1000m entfernt. Von dort können sie nach Panne oder nach Ostende fahren.
