We stayed at this camp-site twice, and first time we were thrilled so we came back with our 6 month old baby. we were so excited to have our first holiday with our daughter in this camp-site. Facilities are great, it's clean, food is not so great, but what disappointed us the most was the lack of understanding from the owner of the camp-site when it was time for us to leave. We needed to leave at 6 in the morning, as we had to get to Calais to catch the crossing train, but he refused to open the gate for us!! We had to park the car outside of the camp-site the night before, and get up ridiculously early to get stuff packed and carried all the way to the car. What made it even worse is having a young baby, and not being able to leave her alone so we needed to carry stuff one by one all the way to the car (which was a hell of a walk). Not to mention packing in the dark. We were very disappointed at this lack of care, and will not go back to this unfriendly man.

We stayed with our caravan at this site at the end of the season and for us it was a most excellent site. At this time of the year there are very few children and no entertainment which is the way we like a site to be. Our pitch was of ample size and flat with easy access. It was hedged on three sides and had plenty of shade. The toilet facilities were some of the best we have found in France - modern and spotlessly clean. We stayed eleven nights and ate a meal every evening in the site restaurant - all of good quality and variety and at a fair price. Opposite the site is the River Dordogne with pleasant walks in either direction. The nearest supermarket and fuel is about ten minutes away by car. The site is surrounded by vineyards with the famous and beautiful wine town of St. Emilion about a twenty minute drive away. Further away but well worth the drive are the lovely villages of Issigeac, Monpazier and Monflanquin. The owners are friendly and helpful people who speak good English.

Schitterende camping.
