Huge, beautiful site on the side of the valley of the Ceze. Steep roads, and the various areas are a fair walk apart, but despite its size it felt friendly and welcoming. Brilliant location for touring, the Gorges d'Ardeche etc. We loved it.

From a personal point of view we all hated the place, and will never return. I will however try to be fair in my comments as one mans meat is anothers poison.

The whole site is set on one side of a ravine with VERY steep roads from reception 2 klms down to the river and its bank (beach?) If you are not very healthy and able to walk up steep long hills it is not the place for you, although there were lots of folk who seemed to enjoy the hike. Make sure you have good brakes and clutch on your vehicles as well

The weather was glorious and we had rain through the night on 2 occasions which did not bother us as we were in bed. Temperatures were in the high 30's most days and the nights were very hot and humid

The site is predominantly for the French and the majority of them will give you a smile but do not speak any English, as with all the shops bars and supermarkets, being in 'Vichy France' the english are kept at arms length. Take a phrase book.

A meal for 4 with wine will cost around 100 euros wherever you go. In the supermarket 4 lamb chops cost me 21 euros and 4 pork chops 11 euros so it is a lot dearer for meat here. We ordered Pizzas from the on site restaurant which we took to our chalet in the familiar pizza boxes, that is where the resemblance to pizzas ended the thing we were given was inedible none of us ate them.

The river is very relaxing to swim in and you can see the large fish swimming with you. The pools are kept spotless and are very pleasant although the heated pool which isnt needed in August is very chlorinated. The barstaff were very pleasant and polite and did speak a little English. The rudest people on the site were in fact English I am sad to say.

All in all this was not our cup of tea, we love France and its people but will not be visiting this area again, although the scenery is quite breathtaking so are the hills.
