De TGV maakt verschrikkelijk veel herrie, net als de goederen trein die langs de camping loopt, het sanitair is oud en aan vervanging toe. Totaal geen winkels in de buurt. De dichtstbijzijnde wandeling was ingekort door het talut van de TGV.

Fantastische plek op het nieuwere gedeelte. Geluid van de bij tijd en wijle langsdenderende treinen went erg snel. Onbeperkt douchen met heerlijk warm water, maar het sanitair + gebouw is wel heel duidelijk aan renovatie toe. Prachtige omgeving en de moeite waard om deze te verkennen. De fietstocht rondom het Lac de Madine is een aanrader. Een wandeltocht door Metz, beginnend vanaf de oever van de Moezel ook. Mooie, zeer schone stad. De Kaiserstunnel was, in tegenstelling tot wat beweerd werd in de uitgereikte vakantiefolder alleen zondags geopend en Fort Fermont was via info uit dezelfde folder moeilijk te vinden.

We kozen deze camping op onze terugreis o.a. omdat het restaurant werd aanbevolen in de Acsi-gids van 2011. De ontvangst was onvriendelijk, de plaatsen waren zeer slecht en het sanitair was zeer armoedig en het stonk er.
Hoewel het restaurant anders deed vermoeden, want het zag er heel mooi uit, was het eten ronduit slecht, zeker voor het bedrag wat we er nog voor neertelden. Geen aanrader deze camping, we komen hier nooit meer, zeker weten!

This site is suposed to be 'Qualite camping'. It most certainly is not. Many pitches are soil and stones on the old part. Many of the rest are weeds rather than grass and that in places was 6" - 12" high. Hadn't seen a mower in weeks. Although actual sanitary facilities were clean, the interior walls were mouldy in a number of places. The noise from trains was horrific. 4 in 12 minutes at one point on a Sunday night. Not a site I will ever visit again.

Stonden er een nacht. Konden kiezen uit een plek met onze tent op een aflopende vlakte met een kreunend boompje en veel stenen. Flink wat wind, erg lawaaierige TGV en normale trein daartussendoor.
Het sanitair gebouw zat vol schimmel aan de buitenkant, was ook niet schoon binnen en het stonk er hemeltergend naar riool.
Men was "vergeten"om ons te vragen om voor brood te reserveren. Dus toen ik er de volgende morgen om vroeg, was de vraag of ik had gereserveerd, nee dus, en toen was de bijzonder troostende en hulprijke reactie: je suis désolé... En daar moesten we het maar mee doen. Uitermate ongastvrij en gemakkelijk en ongeïnteresseerd. Die zien ons dus nooooit meer!
Was trouwens ook nog de duurste camping: voor twee man en een hond 16 Euro.
