My husband and I have just stayed here for a week. We came up from Brittany to look around the D-Day beaches and memorials. The campsite is beautiful - centred around a charming 18th century chateau and within easy reach of the beaches and the Bayeux tapestry. The staff were helpful and the washrooms and toilets were spotless (we saw a professional cleaning team at work at least twice a day!). Unlike the previous reviewer we were not disturbed by any "early morning" cockerel. Perhaps we were far enough away from him or maybe the owners have taken note and removed the little beast! Would definitely recommend this site to anyone looking for a bit of charm and tranquility whilst researching the D-Day area.

Do not come to this campsite unless you are prepared to have your holiday spoiled by the cockerels, which are allowed to freely roam around the site 'cock-a-doodle-dooing' waking you up every morning between 4am and 5am! They are very loud and extremely annoying.

Also, the toilet and shower blocks are very basic. There are no sinks and soap within the WC block. If you go for a shower, you will have hardly any room to change and move around.

On a positive note, the site is within a reasonable driving distance of Bayeux, Caen and the surrounding D-Day tourist attractions. The staff are friendly enough, the restaurant is ok and there is free WiFi. The kids have a basic playground, a swimming pool and a tennis court, although 5 Euros per hour for tennis is quite expensive.

Despite the few positive aspects, the cockerels really spoil the site, so for that reason I will definitely not be coming back and would urge caution for those considering coming to the site. That's quite a shame real

Stayed on our way to Brittany, had a nice surprize as we pulled into the site. Staff very helpful on the way back to Calais they helped us when we had a tyre blow out on the French Motorways, find a garage that not only got us some tyres close by.
The site was nice and a good rest place on the way east or west will use again. The toilets were clean and tidy.

Stayed at this site for 8 nights in August 2010. The women's toilets stank. There was no soap in any of the toilet blocks, a tiny wash basin with cold water in the women's and nowhere to wash your hands at all in the gents. The 'heated' swimming pool was freezing cold. The free wi-fi was broken for all but the first day of our stay. The prices were extortionate for this kind of standard of facilities and cleanliness.

Keurige, ruime camping in een prachtige omgeving! Vriendelijk personeel. We gaan zeker nog een keer terug.
