Route:

A64 Toulouse-Tarbes. Turn right at exit 21 direction Boulogne-sur-Gesse (D635). Follow road as far as Cassagnabère. Left towards St. Gaudens (D81). Camp site about 80 metres on the right.

Wij hebben eind augustus / begin september 10 dagen op deze prachtige camping gestaan. De positieve recensies over deze camping zijn werkelijk niet overdreven. Heerlijk rustig; prachtig uitzicht op de Pyreneeën; op loopafstand van een klein dorpje; geweldige fietsomgeving; vele historische "plekjes"; een geweldig mooi zwembad. Bovendien kookt Janine voortreffelijk en we geven haar graag "douze points" en Jean-Michel helpt je met zijn tractor jouw caravan op de plaats te brengen. Bovendien speelt hij graag op zijn harmonica, hetgeen de Franse sfeer alleen nog maar verhoogt. Spanje ligt op nog geen uur rijden vanaf de camping en ook de "Tourmalet"; Pic de Bigorre liggen op maar een half uur auto-rijden van de camping. Ook een prachtige omgeving voor het maken van fiets-/ en wandeltochten . Wij komen zeker in 2011 terug.Wij komen zeker in 2011 terug.

Dit moet de beste camping zijn die we ooit bezocht hebben. De erg vriendelijke eigenaars (Jean-Michel en Janine) hebben eind jaren '90 een lege wei tot een prachtige terrassencamping omgetoverd, die ze erg goed onderhouden. Zeer rustige camping, ideaal voor gezinnen met kleine kinderen of voor iedereen die van rust en natuur houdt. Erg proper en verzorgd sanitair. Mits reservatie kan je ook genieten van de uitmuntende, door Janine bereide, gerechten. Barbecue is toegelaten.
Voor toeristische info kan je steeds terecht bij Jean-Michel en Janine, zij hebben zelf trouwens een heel aantal wandelpaden bewegwijzerd en op papier gezet.
Wij hebben niet de gewoonte tweemaal naar dezelfde plaats terug te keren, maar dit zou wel eens de eerste uitzondering kunnen worden. Een parel van een camping, die veel meer bezoekers verdient!

Een prachtige terrascamping zoals wij nog eerder gezien hebben. De ontvangst door de eigenaar en zijn vrouw (Jeane Michel en Janine) was buitengewoon vriendelijk en ontspannen. De ruime afgebakende groene plaatsen geven de indruk dat je in een park verblijft, waar je op afstand de besneeuwde toppen van Pyreneën kunt zien. Het vooraf bestelde brood wordt elke morgen bij je caravan of tent door de beheerder afgeleverd. In het sfeervolle restaurant kun je genieten van de heerlijke streekgerechten die door Janine met veel zorg zijn bereid en opgediend. Om de echte Franse sfeer te accentueren speelt Jeane Michel op zijn accordeon. De heuvelachtige omgeving met zijn typische dorpjes zijn erg mooi als je er doorheen fietst. Op een terrasje op een van de dorpspleintjes kun echt genieten van de schoonheid, gastvrijheid en rust van zuid Frankrijk. Heerlijk om dit mee te maken.

Wat een mooie camping met prachtig uitzicht op de Pyreneeën. Heel veel verschillende bloemen en planten met zorg aangelgd. Plekken bieden veel privacy. En wat kan mevrouw Janine goed koken. Meneer speelt 's middags vaak op zijn accordeon, wat een echt Frans sfeertje geeft.Wij gaan hier zeker terug!

De camping voldoet volledig aan de beschrijving! Klein maar erg mooi aangelegd en perfect onderhouden. De eigenaars zijn heel aardig en doen hun best voor je. Het zwembad is klein, maar voldoet prima. Binnen een straal van een uur rijden zijn fantastische uitstapjes te maken naar de Pyreneeen, Lourdes en Toulouse; maar ook dichterbij is genoeg te ontdekken. Wij hebben hier 3 weken met veel plezier gestaan.
