Camp sites in Baden-Württemberg, on the borders with Switzerland and France

A camp site on the Bodensee lake is recommended for a relaxing holiday. The Bodensee is a traditional favourite for camping. It is Central Europe’s biggest lake with lovely historic towns all around. Another famous destination for a camping holiday in Germany is the Black Forest (Schwarzwald). This, as its name suggests is one of the principal spa resorts in the area. Beautiful buildings such as the Neues Schloss, the Stiftskirche and the Friedrichsbad (built on Roman remains!) adorn the town. Most spa towns have grandiose hotels from the 19th century where the bourgeoisie would have stayed.
