Das Personal ist freundlich. Der Platz und die Einrichtungen sind sauber und gepflegt. Schön, dass nicht parzelliert ist.

Ligging is mooi, langs het water en tussen de bergen met veel groen in de zomer. 5 km vanaf de stad en 1 km naar de supermarkten. Trein is ook dichtbij. Sanitair erg schoon en nieuw. Aardig personeel. Je kunt er niet eten en er is gelukkig ook geen entertainment, geen bar, geen restaurant, zo hou je de sfeer van rustig kamperen en avontuur (eten doe je in de stad of zeer nabij gelegen dorpje neckargemund). Je kunt op de camping wel brood bestellen en koffie en fris kopen.

Omdat we graag Heidelberg wilden bezoeken was deze camping favoriet boven "Friedensbrücke" vanwege de afstand. Dat bleek ook zo te zijn, maar als we weer moesten kiezen, kozen we waarschijnlijk toch voor "F-brücke".
Camping Haide doet erg "verlopen" aan. Het (in de gids genoemde) restaurant is gesloten omdat de uitbaatster is overleden. Dat is heel naar maar de overgroeide ingang van het restaurant en het terras doen naargeestig aan. Er is een slagboom(pje) op het terrein maar we vragen ons af of die wel ooit dicht is en dan nog is hij eenvoudig te omzeilen. De plaatsen zijn goed, met en zonder schaduw, maar na bezoeken aan campings aan de Rijn en de Moezel (met ontzettend veel herrie van wegen en spoorlijnen) dachten we met dit "romantisch plekje" aan de Neckar hiervan verschoond te blijven, maar ook hier erg veel last van de herrie van de weg aan de andere kant van de Neckar en in iets mindere mate van de spoorlijn. Er is een ALDI supermarkt vlakbij. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar dus.
