Sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungs-Verhältnis in der Gaststätte auf dem Platz. Ansonsten ein gepflegter Platz mit sehr freundlichen Betreibern. Etwas unverständlich die neue Verordnung des Landratsamtes, dass im unteren Bereich PKW's/Zugfahrzeuge nicht mehr neben dem Caravan geparkt werden dürfen. Wirkt wie eine Behörden-Schikane, weil absolut nicht nachvollziehbar.

Uitstekende camping met terrasweiden aan een zeer groot en lang stuwmeer waar zwemmen uitstekend mogelijk is tussen de bergruggen langs de Saale. Schoonwater maar niet te diep voor kinderen, tot +/- 100 meter in het meer nog geen 1,5 meter diep.
Er wordt door alle leeftijden veelvuldig gezwommen in het meer.
Er is op beide terreinen weinig schaduw, alleen aan de zuidelijke rand op de 1e, hoger gelegen weide, staan enkele hoge bomen. U moet vanaf hier ongeveer 200 meter lopen naar het meer.
De 2e, lager gelegen weide, is bij de zuidzijde van het meer.

Er zijn geen afgegrensde plaatsen, alles staat op een open veld, een plaats wordt toegewezen door de beheerder zonder afbakening.
De beheerderfamilie is gastvrij, de hele dag aanwezig en zeer behulpzaam.
Er is een winkel die van 8 tot 10 uur open is en een klein restaurant die tot 21 uur open is.
Een aanrader ook voor jongere kinderen!
