Travelling party: Family with children between the ages of 4 and 12
Travel period: July 2011
Camping trip of Father and son (9 years old), Brilliant spot, central location, close to main towns, facilities have all you need and more than we expected, the staff - actually the family who own it were extremely friendly and helpful, beautiful area, right next to the lake and option to take out rowing boat or boat with an engine. - at first we thought it was out of the way etc, but you are still very close to all main towns etc, and the location was so cosy and quiet at night compared to the other industrialised sites nearby. stayed 3 nights instead of 2 and going back for a week in august, as a base for travelling to Tipp, Galway and sligo Rosscommon, Athlone. very reasonably priced too. stayed 3 nights/days in early July 2011.
