Gewoon een camperplek. Geen onderhoud, dus is het sanitair slecht. Wel warm water. Matera met de oude stad Sassi is zeker een bezoek waard maar zoek een camping elders.

"Camping" is een parkeerplaats voor campers. Voor onze tent was een stoffig plekje naast de parkeerplaats beschikbaar. Sanitair is ronduit smerig. Personeel is geinteresseerd in het verdienen van geld, niet in het runnen van een camping. Sla de "traditionele" maaltijd over. Slaat nergens op en is niet lekker. In Matera (mooie stad) kan je lekker (traditioneel) eten. Kortom camping om te vergeten.

Sanitair:
Is niet schoon en toiletdeuren kunnen niet op slot, zit je met je broek op de knieen.
Mijn vrouw bemerkte hetzelfde.

Eten en Drinken:
Als toerist word je in het restaurant een lokale streekmaaltijd opgedrongen. Ik kom al de nodige malen in Italië en weet wat er te koop is, vond dit matig. Zal het niet meer nemen.
Tweede avond om Italiaanse maaltijd gevraagd en dit smaakte goed.
De prijs van beide maaltijden was schappelijk.

Ik zal camping blijven aanraden, echter hoop op verbetering van toiletten.

De grotwoningen van Matera zijn een bezoek waard. De excursie die we op de camping boekten was voor ons een waardevolle ervaring. Echter de camping is niet wat je redelijkerwijs mag verwachten op hygiënisch gebied. In een douche stond een laag vuil water van de voorganger zodat ik na een keer het douchen vermeed. De toiletten waren nog veel erger: van 4 heren toiletten waren er drie niet open te krijgen en de 4de was zo vies dat ik niet naar binnen ben gegaan. Er zitten geen sloten op de toiletdeuren. De damestoiletten waren hetzelfde: vies en vuil. Bij aankomst werd ons gezegd dat de prijs een bepaald bedrag per nacht was, all in (douche en stroom) maarer hing geen prijslijst. Wij bleven 2 nachten en we moesten voor 3 dagen betalen, tevens wilde men ons 6 keer douchen in rekening brengen.
Ik heb dat niet gedaan, maar we werden laat in de avond uit ons bed getrommeld met de mededeling dat we nog een nacht moesten betalen. Uiteraard niet gedaan, wel bij dageraad vertrokken.
