From Baveno-Stresa-Dormelletto drive in the direction of Sesto Callende. Cross over the metal bridge and drive in the direction of Laveno. Turn left just before the service station (after 1 km) towards the camp site.

Wat een fijne camping is dit! Verwacht je geen luxecamping, dan heb je hier een geweldige plek. Aan de zuidkant van Lago Maggiore, uitstapjes met auto of fiets (wel langs drukke weg).
De eigenaar spreekt aardig Engels, een lieve, gastvrije man.
Sanitair is schoon en netjes. (Gratis) douches zijn wisselend van temperatuur. Heet water voor de afwas en bij wasbakken. Ook wasbak in elk toilet.
Wij hadden een prachtig plekje met uitzicht op het meer. Sommige plaatsen hebben een betegeld deel, verder gras. Wij vonden het meer niet aantrekkelijk om te zwemmen, geen strand. Wel een fijn zwembad (badmuts op) met afgebakend ondiep stukje.
Voor kinderen zijn er wat speeltoestellen (glijbaan, schommels, trampoline). Geen animatie o.i.d.
's Avonds bij het zwembad muziek, geen disco, maar wel flink geluidsniveau. Wij vonden het niet storend. Je kunt er ook eten, beperkte kaart.
Weinig Nederlanders. Vooral veel Italianen, die hier een vakantiehuisje hebben. 's Avonds fijne temperatuur, ook op hete dagen.

Deze camping is een echte aanrader!
De campingbaas en zijn vrouw, alsook al het personeel doen echt ALLES om het de gasten naar hun zin te maken, zelden zo'n gastvrijheid meegemaakt!
We gaan volgend jaar zeker terug. Kleine prijs voor een tent op 3 meter van de Lago Maggiore, supermooi en gezellig, ook het zwembad is een pluspunt!

Zeer eenvoudige camping vinden wij niet juist. Eenvoudig dat wel. Per toeval gekomen en geen moment spijt. We stonden pal aan het water. Zelf een bootje hebben en daar neerleggen kan ook en is een aanrader, je kunt er dan heerlijk varen. Sanitair is eenvoudig maar schoon en gratis. Zwembad is klein maar nieuw en schoon met ligbedden. In het restaurantje kun je een echte cappuccino drinken en verse croissantjes nuttigen. Mensen zijn erg vriendelijk. In de omgeving veel winkels. Sesto Calende is een schattig stadje met leuke kleine boulevard en eettentjes en ijsssalons. 20 minuten van het mooie Stresa en Isola Bella.
