Ondanks de hobbelige grindweg die naar de camping leidt is het de moeite waard om er naar toe te gaan. De camping ligt op een heuvel en is erg naturel ingericht en heeft veel loofbomen, dus sfeervol en voldoende schaduw. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk, het zwembad vind ik zeer groot, de toiletten zijn netjes. Het douchen gaat met munten waardoor de wachtrijen in de spits een snelle doorlooptijd hebben. Elke dag verse broodjes te koop en basislevensmiddelen. Gezellig terras met bar bij het zwembad, we hebben er heerlijke pizza's gegeten die je ook kunt afhalen. Naast de camping zit een wijnboerderij waar wekelijks rondleidingen worden gegeven met proeverij. De camping (en toegangsweg) lijkt mij minder geschikt voor grote caravans, er staan dan ook voornamelijk tenten. Prachtige omgeving, midden in de wijnvelden, prima uitvalbasis voor uitstapjes in de regio zoals bijvoorbeeld Siena en Volterra.

Dit jaar hebben we ons derde bezoek aan Luxor gebracht. Het is er gewoon heerlijk, ruime plekken met veel schaduw en voldoende sanitair. Al moet er wel betaald worden voor warme douches. Inmiddels zijn er meer dan acht douches met warm water. De toegangsweg is behelpen; een lange, niet geasfalteerde weg met hobbels en kuilen. Personeel in bar en het restaurant is supervriendelijk, ook voor kinderen. Goed eten tegen een hele redelijke prijs. In de omgeving is meer dan voldoende te zien en kan ook goed gefietst worden (op mountainbikes of racefietsen) door geoefende fietsers. In het hoogseizoen zijn er veel Nederlandse gezinnen.

Aardige camping, vrij centraal gelegen. Veel Volvo V70 x De Waard publiek. Zeer stoffige zand-grind toegangsweg (3 km.) met vrij steile hellingen en haarspeldbochten. Ook paden op camping zijn auto- en caravanonvriendelijk. Reserveringen en toewijzing plaatsen een beetje chaotisch.

Supercamping. In de buurt van mooie stadjes. Lekker groot zwembad. Leuke bar waar je echt heerlijk kan eten! Leuk en warm personeel.
Luxor is een camping die een beetje alternatief overkomt. Maar het is juist heel natuurlijk. Tussen alle bomen zijn natuurlijke kampeerplekjes ontstaan. Geen strenge afbakening met hekjes. Maar wel voldoende ruimte voor een eigen plekkie, zoek je rust, die vindt je, wil je dingen doen dan vindt je die ook. Wij gaan dit jaar weer.

Prima camping met mooi vernieuwd sanitair. Er is alleen een maar. Op de hele camping zijn maar vier muntdouches met warm water. En dat is weinig met minimaal 150 man. Daarnaast is het water soms koud.
