Route:

Alongside the Drentse Hoofdvaart canal (west side) from Dieverbrug direction Wittelte. Camp site indicated 3 km further on (situated on the other side of the water). From Meppel, exit Havelte on A32, then continue by the waterway, the camp site is signposted past Uffelte.

We hebben 4 volle weken op deze camping gestaan. Dat is ons goed bevallen. Maar enkele kantekeningen hebben we toch wel. De eigenaaar gaat wel een beetje stark om met de regels. Bijvoorbeeld het parkeren van de auto op de plaats. Daar moet €3.50 voor betaald worden en de auto MOET bij de caravan of tent staan. Bij een grote caravan is dat niet mogelijk want daar zijn de meeste plaatsen te klein voor en mag niet ergens anders geparkeerd worden. Een soepeler beleid zou hier wel op zijn plaats zijn. Verder een prima camping. Het viswater viel me ook tegen. Maar een kniesoor die dat erg vindt.

Nette camping met goed verzorgde faciliteiten. In en rond het hoogseizoen worden er activiteiten georganiseerd voor verschillende groepen. Bij het uitchecken werden er echter meer kosten in rekening gebracht als van te voren was afgesproken en in de folder stond vermeld waardoor ook toeristenbelasting betaald moest worden voor de dagen dat wij er niet aanwizig waren. Dit was verder niet bespreekbaar en omdat van te voren betaald werd konden wij mooi fluiten naar wat we teveel betaald hadden.

Rustig gelegen camping, hartelijke persoonlijke receptie. Goede plekken, maar auto kan en mag niet bij de caravan, moet op parkeerplaats buiten terrein. Betaalbaar afhaalservice, gezellige kantine, voor kinderen veel activiteiten. zwembaden zijn niet met elkaar verbonden en zijn met kunstof overkapping; buiten omlopen van ene naar andere bad. Goed sanitair, in hoogseizoen misschien wat aan de krappe kant. kampwinkel beperkt assortiment, wel vers brood van de warme bakker. Omgeving biedt vele mogelijkheden.
