Der beste und schönste und vor allem kinderfreundlichste Campingplatz, den ich in 43 Jahren an Campingerfahrung (mit Kinder und ohne) je erlebt habe.
Die Vorurteile der Niederländer gegen Deutsche wird hier zu 100% widersprochen. So freundlich und hilfsbereit kamen uns selten Personal und "Mitcamper" entgegen.
Immer und immer wieder waren wir in Workum It Soal, auch zu Schlechtwetterzeiten und zu Sturmperioden, nie hatten wir ein Problem.
Beispiel: Sturm 1988 mit ü 9 Bft. Der Platzwart ordnete an, wie und wo die Camper umzuparken seien. Wer sich umparkte, dem passierte nichts, viele andere sind umgekippt oder wurden von Bäumen zertrümmert. Egal wem, morgens nach einer schlimmen Verwüstung half das Team von It Soal wie und wo es nur konnte. Es gab heißen Kakau und Kaffe und Brötchen für alle...
Einmal musste mein Sohn ins Krankenhaus, der Sanitätsdienst hätte noch lange gebraucht. Der Eigner hat uns eingepackt und zu einem Krankenhaus gebracht. Wir danken ihm heute noch für die Hilfe!

Camping ligt mooi,ook voor niet watersporters want je bent zo in het stadje. Als je op de velden die verder van het water af liggen staat, sta je lekker beschut tegen de wind. De goede supermarkt bij de ingang draagt ook bij aan het campingcomfort.

Zeer mooie omgeving, veel bezienwaardigheden. In het nazeizoen zeer goed te verblijven, veel rust en toch niet te stil. Veel is gebaseerd op watersport.
