Wir waren mit einer jugendlichen Fahrrad Gruppe unterwegs von Rotterdamm nach Emden, so einen schön angelegten Campingplatz hatte ich bis jetzt noch nicht gesehen. Ideal für Familien mit Kinder. Die Speisen im Restaurant waren lecker und auch das Angebot im Spar Geschäft war groß. Was mich besonders überrascht hat, das ein Parkplatz mit Autos im Camping Bereich angelegt wurde, in den meisten Fällen muß das Auto außerhalb ab gestellt werden.

Das Personal ist freundlich und flexiebel. Täglich gibt es im Spar frische & warme Brötchen und es kann an 7 Tage eingekauft werden. Wenn es Wind gibt, geht man surfen und an schönen windfreien Tagen fährt man Boot und Wasserski. Die Kinder können im knietiefen Wasser planschen oder einen der drei Spielplätze besuchen. Workum It Soal ist einfach zu genießen.

Wir hatten 2 Wochen Erholung geplant, in der Hoffnung Ruhe Ende September! Kite-Wetter=Musik-Alarm in Strandnähe= umziehen. Zwischen den Dauer-Campern (made in Germany) wurden wir beim Schlafversuch darauf hingewiesen, dass es hier keine Platzordnung gäbe - also erstmal Rasenmähen-anhören von 13:00 bis 15:00. Auch durch das Platzpersonal war das Rasenmähen als höchstwichtig eingestuft ebnfalls zu uns als Mittagszeit bekannter Zeit. Okay, dann eben Internet: 100% Abdeckung versprochen!! immerhin 4 e-mails in 2 Stunden abgesetzt - besser als nix : alles in Allem: nie wieder, höchstens für 1 Nacht, Umgebung gut ! Rücksichtnahme, Erholung= Null!

Die 2 Wochen Urlaub in Workum gehören zu unseren schönsten Tagen dieses Jahr. Der Platz ist super und wir konnten schon beim Frühstücken auf das Meer schauen. Im Spar gabe es jeden Morgen frische Brötchen und alles was man sonst noch so braucht. Hier kann man sich nur entspannen und der Ort Workum ist gut zu erreichen.

Prima camping met een fijne ligging kort bij het gezellige plaatsje Workum en heel kort bij het IJsselmeer.
Om nou te zeggen dat het een van de 32 beste Europese campings is vind ik wat overdreven maar dat is kennelijk toegekend. Wij hebben in april 2010 hier een drietal dagen met onze camper gestaan. Niet alle faciliteiten zijn dan open of te gebruiken. Camping is ons goed bevallen. Inderdaad voor watersporters een aanrader wat wij zelf niet zijn.
