Deze camping valt. wat mij betreft, onder de zgn kleine groene campings. De plaatsen zijn ruim. Het sanitair is een paar jaar geleden vernieuwd en wordt goed schoongehouden. De campingbeheerders zijn allervriendelijkst en hebben service hoog in het vaandel staan. De bij de camping behorende herberg "het lachende paard" geeft de camping iets aparts. Een gelegenheid waar je even lekker een kopje thee, koffie een wijntje of een biertje gaat drinken. Ook kun je er genieten van een eenvoudige en lekkere maaltijd. De camping is een camping voor die mensen die rust, ruimte en natuur zoeken. Gelegen vlak bij het Lauwersmeer met zijn vele vogels en in het weidse Groninger land. Je kunt er heerlijk fietsen. Voor mij een camping waar ik zeker nog eens terug zal komen en die ik eenieder die rust, frisse lucht, ruimte en hartelijkheid zoekt zeker kan aanbevelen.
