Na 2 jaartjes steeds met onze camper op camping Batenstein te hebben gestaan hebben we besloten om een caravan te kopen en een vast plekje op Batenstein te pakken. Want we hebben er ons tweede huis gevonden. De camping en de beheerders zijn super hoor. En Woerden en omstreken is prachtig. Voor ons een dikke pluim. En zijn blij als het weer zo ver is dat we weer kunnen gaan (Pinksteren). Inneke en John thx voor de gastvrijheid.

Het verblijf op Batenstein was weer top! Ondanks de regen. We zien elkaar misschien nog eind september anders wordt het komend voorjaar. En wie weet komen we dan wel voor vast bij jullie staan op de camping.

Camping Batenstein in Woerden, 10 minutes train ride from Utrecht, is one of the loveliest and most picturesque camping sites we have visited. Dutch to the core, with canals and lakes dividing the place into several small and cosy communities. Easy access and adequate space for visiting campers, although we could have wished for more shade on a hot and sunny day. Fine sanitary facilities and good covered cooking and sitting area for tenting families - an asset on a rainy day. Top class public swimming facility only 50 meters away. And the old and charming city of Woerden is 15-20 minutes' walk away, yet Batenstein is blessed with peace and little noise from the street. Train to/from Utrecht four times per hour so Woerden is perfect as base for an excursion to Utrecht without driving and parking worries. And most important: Batensteins two managers John and Ineke are very helpful and friendly, speaking excellent English. Batenstein was unknown to us but will surely be remembered.

Mooie camping, met uitstekend sanitair. Vriendelijke dame en heer aan de receptie. Zeer correct. De camping is omgeven door viswater en ligt op loopafstand van het centrum, maar totaal geen last van verkeer. Ook mooie fietsroutes in de buurt. Utrecht en uurtje fietsen door leuke dorpen. Ok ga hier zeker nog eens terug.

Wij waren er weer afgelopen weekend..een top camping een echte aanrader als je van een rustige nette camping houdt. Maar wel een camping van waar je alle kanten op kunt naar zuid-oost-west -noord heerlijk.
Beheerders zijn vriendelijk en behulpzaam.. Tot volgend voorjaar.
