Leuke beschutte camping midden in een vesting. Zeer gevarieerde plaatsen. Het wegzetten gaat soms een beetje chaotisch maar daar ben je zelf bij. Dagelijks komen er schitterende Amerikaanse oldtimers over de camping gereden. (er loopt n.l. een doorgaande weg dwars door de vesting en dus ook door de camping, maar absoluut niet hinderlijk) Halden is het mekka voor deze Amerikanen en een bezoekje aan het plaatsje en de haven is zeker de moeite waard. Vanuit de camping leuke uitstapjes te maken zoals een sluizencomplex met een verval van 26 meter, schitterend en zeer leuk voor kinderen. Een autotochtje door de omgeving laat de vele meertjes en zwemmogelijkheden zien. en met een beetje geluk treft u het dat er een evenement wordt georganiseerd in de vesting, dit geeft weer een eigen dementie aan de vesting.

A really nice area. Few kilometres from the norwegian/swedish border. Just in the middle of the "Fredrikssten fortress"!
En god og stille plads lige ved den norsk/svenske grænse. Den SKAL du besøge! Ligger lige midt i Frederikssten fæstningen. Du bør gå op på hovedfæstningen efter mørkets frembrud!

Plaatsen zelf te bepalen, kapot en stinkend sanitair, geen muntjes voor de douche te verkrijgen, geen wasmachine en -droger aanwezig. Camping niet afgesloten en onbewaakt.

Rigtig fin plads der passer perfekt som første og/eller sidste plads i Norge, hvis man kommer fra den svensk/norske grænse. Bør besøges!

Wij hadden een wat hoger gelegen plaats dichtbij de keuken. Voor ons als kampeerders met tent natuurlijk ideaal in verband met het koken. Camping is ons goed bevallen. Speeltuin, midgetgolf voor de kinderen. Ook de vesting is de moeite van het bezichtigen zeker waard. Heel mooi hoog uitzichtpunt over de stad en restant landschap. Ook in de rest van de omgeving is er volop te zien en te doen.
