Een camping met veel vaste plaatsen. In het naseizoen (september 2009) waren deze plaatsen bijna niet in gebruik. De tourplaatsen waren voor ons prima en niet zo georganiseerd. Dit zal in het hoog seizoen misschien anders zijn. De restaurantjes in het dorp waren voortreffelijk. De zee is op loopafstand maar op het moment van ons bezoek erg woest.

Wij vinden dit een overschatte camping. Niet duur, maar eind augustus nog overvol. Douchetijd werd beperkt tot 7 minuten. Geen afgebakende toerplaatsen, daardoor blijken kampeerders soms de helft van "hun" plek kwijt te zijn aan nieuwkomers die zich nog tussen twee kampeerders in wringen.

Eigenlijk wil ik deze camping niemand aanraden, ik wil hem voor mezelf houden! Dit jaar bestaat deze camping 20 jaar, 19 jaar geleden zijn we hier voor het eerst geweest, toen nog als stel. Vila Cha was altijd onze eerste rustplaats na de lange reis vanuit Nederland over de toen nog slechte wegen. Enkele dagen rust en dan verder rondtrekken. In Juli/aug 2008 zijn we na jaren, voor het eerst na 11 jaar, nu met onze 3 kinderen, weer naar Portugal gekomen, naar Vila Cha en...pats... verkocht! Een warme ontvangst, enkele medewerkers die ons zelfs nog herkende hoewel we hier nooit lang verbleven. Een heerlijk oase van rust. De kinderen hebben het ook zo heerlijk gehad. We zijn opgenomen in de gemeenschap en hebben het hier, geheel tegen onze principes in, wel 5 weken uitgehouden!

Deze camping is moeilijk te vinden vanaf de snelweg IC1 of de A28. Maar als je de camping eenmaal gevonden hebt, dan ben je blij dat je doorgezet hebt om deze te vinden. Want voor Portugese begrippen is deze camping om de volgende redenen een aanrader;de rust, zeer schoon en zeer modern sanitair, ruime plaatsen in de schaduw, lage prijs, vlak bij de zee, géén "massa-camping", mooie oude hoge bomen en gezellige "straatjes" door de camping, gezellige bar,goede tennis/voetbal locatie, personeel is sociaal bewogen, geen lawaai na 22.00 uur, prima voor kinderen. We komen al vanaf 1988 in Portugal en hebben dus al vele Portugese campings bezocht. Eerst als stel en later als gezin. Deze camping staat in onze top 3 van de ongeveer 30 campings in Portugal die wij inmiddels in deze jaren bezocht hebben!

Deze camping is een aanrader! Wij waren er in het voorseizoen. Het is relatief rustig en echt maar 250 meter naar de zee. Wij hadden een ruime plek. De campingwinkel is redelijk gesorteerd. Bij aankomst miste er een goede aanwijzing naar de camping. Op circa 3 kilometer afstand ligt het station met een goede verbinding naar Porto.
