On N340/E5 Cadiz-Algeciras, close to Barbate take the Vejer/Caños de Meca exit. Left at the roundabout and the camp site is 10 km further left on, just past the bend. 1 km from the sea. Via A48, exit 36 to Los Caños de Meca and continue as above.

Campsites don't get better than this!! Stayed here for 6 weeks and couldn't have been happier. The family who run the site are doing a great job and are so helpful and friendly. The site itself is well planned and has views onto the national park all around. There is a gate from the site to go walking through the forest. The grounds are kept immaculate, the pitches are grassy and well spaced. The shower blocks are kept clean at all times. There are padel and tennis courts and a lovely pool for summer. There is a bar/restaurant on site that is open year round, along with a well stocked supermarket- open every day. Prices are reasonable throughout, especially for long stays. There is a thriving and friendly British winter community, not cliquey, great socially and. All nationalities are on the site...its a great atmosphere, beautiful location at a great rate! We'll be back asap!

Een prachtige camping. Hier klopt alles! Toch heeft het twee nadelen: ten eerste ligt het tenminste 10 km van een behoorlijke plaats voor de boodschappen en met de fiets is het ook niet alles omdat er dikwijls een stevige wind staat. Wel heeft de camping een prima voorziene campingwinkel voor de eerste behoeften. Het strand is zo´n 15 minuten lopen van de camping en is een heerlijk zandstrand. Alles bij elkaar een echte aanraden!!

Op de schaduwrijke camping, waar ook best een zonnig plekje te vinden is, heerst een opvallend vriendelijke sfeer. Het sanitair wordt goed schoongemaakt. Gratis 80% WiFi werkt perfect. Voor uitgebreid winkelen ben je op Conil de la Frontera of op Barbate aangewezen, beide op 15 autominuten afstand. Als camperaar zijn we meer van de bus afhankelijk, die 2 maal per dag rijdt. Had best wat vaker gemogen. Voor de wekelijkse boodschappen kan je overigens ook uitstekend terecht in de ruim voorziene en normaal geprijsde campingwinkel met verse producten. En dat allemaal aan de Costa de la Luz, waar zeer veel zonne-uren zijn naast wellicht soms iets te veel wind. Met daarin, op loopafstand van diverse zandstranden, kroonjuweel Pinar San Jose.

Heel mooi gelegen camping in pijnboombos. Tijdens ons verblijf waren een behoorlijk aantal plaatsen gesloten omdat daar gras ingezaaid was. Ook het restaurant was ivm verbouwing gesloten. De supermarkt fungeert ook als de plaatselijke super en heeft een goed assortiment. In oktober hebben de plaatsen wat veel schaduw, in de hete zomer lijkt ons dat prima. Ongeveer 10 minuten lopen van het mooie strand. Sanitair is prima en wordt dagelijks schoongemaakt.
Op onze plek bleek een haring in de waterleiding geslagen te zijn. De terreinman had veel ervaring met dit probleem en binnen 5 minuten was de lekkage verholpen.
In verband met het weer moesten wij onverwacht snel opbreken. De receptie was erg behulpzaam en wij konden voor 1 nacht gebruik maken van een bungalow. Hiervan zijn er een aantal op de camping en ze zijn prima ingericht. De nachten die we niet hebben gebruikt (door het weer) hoefden we niet te betalen.
