Spacious, well maintained and appointed campsite close to the beautiful village of Turckheim. Close to bakeries, restaurants, walks, cycle routes through the vineyards and the train station connecting to Strasbourg and Colmar. Clean, quiet, friendly and storks everywhere!

Fantastic campsite conveniently close to the village and train station.
The campsite facilities were spotlessly clean.
We also enjoyed the resident storks

First impressions - pitches smallish and appeared a bit unkempt and, after heatwave, rather tired. But we really warmed to this place. Modern toilet block with plenty of capacity and the site has super-friendly staff. No restaurant but bread can be pre-ordered and the receptionist has beer on tap beside her desk! No traffic noise and the storks were entertaining.

Liked Turckheim a lot, though restaurant choice limited as several closed for annual holidays in early July. “Poche de Colmar” museum about the liberation well worth a visit.

Biked into Colmar which took about 25 mins beside the railway. Not too busy with traffic and a bit of an incline on the return but not really strenuous. Pretty town but quite quickly round the best bits. Station is a good springboard to other destinations, we went to Basel.

If you are heading to that area, would definitely recommend.

Location of the campsite next to the old town walls, the views of the vine covered hills, the little canal and the presence of several storks gave it a genuine local feel. The town had an Alsace tradional feel without being overrun by tourists. Proximity to other places like Colmar, Eguisheim and Riquewihr gave access to places of historical interest.
