The Océano d'Or campsite, which is well organised and well-kept, is a good place for campers who like a friendly atmosphere and well-kept facilities. There is a large bar; the place to be for a snack, a drink and evening entertainment. The proximity of several white sandy beaches (Plage de Boisvinet) and nice seaside resorts (Jard-sur-Mer) also makes a wide public happy to spend their holidays here.

Camping on grass

The pitches for campers are separate from the mobile homes and chalets. They are spacious, flat pitches on a grassy surface. High, green hedges provide privacy, but there are also pitches with less shelter. The deciduous trees provide pleasant shade all day long. The campsite has four neat sanitary blocks.

Clean swimming pool with three slides

At the front of the campsite there is a large outdoor swimming pool. There is plenty of space to relax on one of the comfortable sunbeds. For children the three slides are a real attraction. They end up in a separate pool that is beautifully landscaped with rocks and plants. Next to the main pool there is a heated children's pool. There is also an indoor swimming pool where the youngest campers will also find a nice play area.

Beaches around the corner

The nearest beach is about twenty minutes' walk away. During the summer months you can get there by the free shuttle bus offered by the campsite.

Indoor or outdoor games

Next to a gym there is a sports field for a game of volleyball or basketball. Furthermore, young people can enjoy themselves in the large indoor area, with table tennis and billiard tables.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Liked - Location, facilities, cleanliness and friendliness
Disliked - My 7 year old didn't join in with any of the activities as he didn't think he would be understood as he was english. This came based on the evening entertainment which was in french. I asked when it was lotto for the numbers to be called in english too but as soon as someone shouted for the line, the number wasn't repeated in english. I am sure the childrens entertainment was great but there was little effort i think to include my son when they daw him sitting out.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Liked - Returning back after a 7 year gap and the site was as good as we remembered. There were some improvements made. After co-vid 19. I was expecting abit of a decline but this was not the case the site had been well maintained and investments into the site is on going.
Disliked - We stayed in a mobile unit . Our last night was very hot. So sleeping was difficult. No fans or a/c . Did not check beforehand if fans or A/c were included.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Liked - We had an amazing time at l'Océano d'Or, we enjoyed every minute there with a nice bungalow, great animations with very friendly staff, the pool was amazing with slides for the kids and bubble bath for me. There are so many things to do around as well, we shared our time between activities inside and outside the camping.
