Back to visit this beautiful site which has just opened the promised new sanitary block. Cosmetics not all finished but the new showers are wonderful, adjust to your own temperature and everything else is new too. Bathroom for disabled and a family room in the heated part. Food good in the restaurant as usual and the grass is freshly cut. Apart from the toilet block, signs of a lot of work gone on over the winter with the development of this beautiful site.
Un excellent accueil nous est réservé à chaque visite. de gros efforts ont été fournis pour rendre le cadre agréable; les emplacements sont toujours aussi grands et ombragés.
There is certainly plenty of space and the site has a lake etc but the facilities were the worst we experienced during our long trip. Old fashioned is ok but sharing a shower with birds nests etc is not acceptable. Only time ACSI ratings let us down - we left after one night
Lovely friendly welcome from the whole family. Working hard to develop their young business and are on track in providing an excellent rural camping facility. The black pigs and little Shetland pony were a bonus as were the large sized Carp in the lake. A very enjoyable and safe environment for all.
We stayed in late May and the campsite was beautiful. The grass was like a bowling green. The owners told us they had had a mechanical problem with their mower and were pleased to have the grass back in its normal condition. Such wonderful surrounding in nature\'s peace and quiet.
The food was very well priced and a good selection to choose from with a wonderful view over the lake from the terrace. The owners are working hard to continue to develop the campsite especially the toilet block which we look forward to seeing the renovation works next season.
Fabulous site run by an enthusiastic English family. Their plans for development slightly thwarted by local by-laws. The petting zoo would be great for children.
The site is well located near Angeloume off the A10 and is an ideal stopover when travelling through France. A lovely relaxing site with large grass pitches surrounding a lake with free fishing. The site is owned and run by an English family who are working hard to improve the facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff which provides a pleasant atmosphere. Limited free wifi near the restaurant. The restaurant was open (not Monday or Tuesday in September) and was only to open weekends in October. The food was good and reasonably priced.
There are plans to upgrade the toilet facilities over the winter, which were clean and adequate with plenty of hot water. There was a selection of small farm animals which children would find entertaining.
We last visited this site in 2001 and 2002 and were interested to return as we liked the site very much.
There have been two changes of owners since our last visit and the present owners are an extremely friendly family who have plans for the site.
The toilet/wash facilities are a little dated but beautifully clean and very adequate. There are plenty of entertainment opportunities for children with football, tennis, badminton, volleyball, table tennis and boules, play area and a lovely little petting zoo with a pony to die for. The swimming pool is again dated but Rome wasn\'t built in a day and plans are in place to update the area. The pitches are very big with a choice of shade or not.
The bar/restaurant area has been refurbished to a high standard and although we did not attend the restaurant there were a large party of French locals dining at lunchtime which says something for the cuisine offered.
If you want busy or relaxed, enjoy fishing or walking then this is the site for you.
I wish the new owners well, they deserve it.
A very relaxing and tranquil site. Pitches are well maintained and have good views of the lake which holds a good stock of large fish. The swimming pool is large and very clean and although it is a bit tired there are plans for improvements. The four generations of the family who have only been running this site for 2 years, were extremely friendly and could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were working very hard to ensure that people were enjoying their stay. We would certainly return
