This is a lovely, grassy, spacious and well kept family run campsite. Friendly helpful English speaking owners. We throughly enjoyed our five days in early June despite changeable weather. There are no marked pitches but on arrival you will be shown the allocated area available (we were given the choice of two large areas).
Electricity is chargeable and cost us €15 for the five days. Wifi €1 a day or €5 a week and very good connection. The site was about half full, with quite a few older, mainly German couples staying for a longer time than us, and the place had a very relaxed feel to it, so quiet day and night. Closed and no car access around site for 1-3 for lunch, but parking at reception if you arrive during this time. Easy access and plenty of space to manoeuvre. Fresh rolls each day which you don\'t have to pre-order.
The washblocks were good and like the rest of the campsite, clean and well maintained. Showers are metered (50 cents for 4 minutes).
The site restaurant was very popular for meals or just a drink and we had excellent rump steaks (although cooked on the rare side of medium!) and it was also used by many locals especially for family meals on the weekend.
The Rhine is only 100m away with lovely riverside walks and a lake nearby and children\'s water and play areas. Kehl is a good size with plenty of shopping opportunity and a Tourist Information office.
Strasbourg is cycleable (about 6 km) but we used public transport (ticket for two for TI cost €6.80) which was rather prolonged but a fun experience..... a 20 minute walk into Kehl, 30 minutes on the bus followed by 15 minutes in the tram into the old town! To drive it is only about 20 minutes. We drove the next day to see the European Institutions and to visit the Orangerie Gardens which are beautiful.
We loved our stay here and would fully recommend it.

Sehr freundliches Personal, gute Einweisung, hilfsbereit.

Dejlig campingplads i parklignende omgivelser.

Sehr gepflegter CP mit tollen Restaurant, spitze Versorgung
Was allerdings fehlt ist für Radfahrer ein überdachter Sitzplatz wenn mann nicht ins Restaurant gehen will um dort da zu essen.

Well organised and secure site. Location on the edge of town but long way to walk, access to Strasbourg complicated. Excellent cafe on site.
