Although you might consider Monte Generoso as a transit campsite, it would be a shame not to stay a little longer. Because it is a great base from which to make lots of fun excursions, by foot, by bike, or on the water. The simple but charming family campsite is located right along the banks of Lake Lugano, thereby promising lots of water activities. Here you always have a priceless view.

Reception desk

Monte Generoso is a spacious campsite with a splendid view of Lake Lugano. At the reception desk, Italian, German and English is spoken.

Where is your pitch?

The pitches on the level grounds are spacious, some of which are separated by hedges. Some pitches are fully shaded. You can even rent a caravan. Monte Generoso is located right on the lakeshore, which begins with a (little) strip of pebble beach.

Clear water

The campsite guests are mainly Swiss, Germans and those travelling from north and west Europe; the latter due to the site's location along the Germany-Italy route. Monte Generoso is therefore also very suitable as a transit campsite. In the summer, families with children come because of the location directly on the water and the water sport activities.

All water recreation is done in the lake itself; there is no swimming pool on the campsite. The water in the lake is crystal clear and lake bed is made of pebbles. You can go right into the lake from the campsite.

Must see

Take the cog railway up to the top of Monte Generoso! There is a visitor centre there where activities are held and where you have a view of the Alps and the Po Valley.

Nur für diejenigen, die wie wir die Schweizer Preise vergessen haben : Bratwurst mit Pommes sfrs 14, trockener, schlechter Cheeseburger sfrs 17. Ansonsten ist der Platz nett, es gibt allerdings keinen Spazierweg mit dem Hund.

Dieser Campingplatz ist nicht zu empfehlen! Wir hatten einen Stellplatz mit unserem Wohnmobil direkt vor den Toilettenhaus, indem auch direkt die Spülbecken sind

Viele aus meiner Familie kommen dank meiner Empfehlung immer wieder an Wochenenden und
In die Ferien hierher. Als Lehrerin war ich auch alle 3 Jahre in Klassenlagern in Mietwohnwagen oder
mit Zelten auf dem Campingplatz. Für meine Schüler waren diese Lager das Highlight. Ich selbst verbringe
seit Jahren alle Ferien hier (obschon ich ganz viele andere Plätze kenne). Dieser Kommentar und meine

Schön gelegener Campingplatz direkt am Wasser. Sehr freundliches und kompetentes Personal. Kinderfreundlich, Hundefreundlich. Wir kennen diesen Zeltplatz seit Jahrzehnten und sind treue Gäste.
Viele verschiedene Ausflugsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe.

Wir waren schon zum 3. Mal auf diesem Platz. Die Sanitäranlagen sind in die Jahre gekommen. Die Lage am See ist herrlich, das Restaurant sehr gut. Unser Stellplatz war eher eng. Für den Preis wären neue und mehr Sanitäranlagen angemessen.
