On the Belgian coast, on the outskirts of the renowned coastal resort of Blankenberge, you will find the well-maintained family campsite Bonanza 1. The Belgian coast is well-known for its microclimate with significant less rain than further inland, and when it gets very hot in summer, it is always a few degrees cooler on the coast. Besides Germans, French and a few Dutch tourists, most of the holidaymakers are Belgian.

Family campsite
Bonanza 1 looks well-maintained; the paths are paved, the grass is trimmed and the pitches are fairly large. Even so, the campsite does not offer many facilities. However, there is a bar-bistro for a snack and a drink with a sun terrace overlooking one of the playgrounds for the little ones. There is no campsite shop, but the nearest supermarket is within walking distance (500 m).
Sanitary facilities
The sanitary facilities in the two ablution blocks are excellent. They are kept spotless, but they are cleaned between 21:00 - 12:00, so that certain sections are closed off during those hours. It is therefore handy to shower before then in the evening.
Where are we?
Blankenberge is a lively, touristy coastal resort. Both the centre and the beach can be reached on foot from the campsite (approx. 20-minute walk). Besides the beach and the pier, Blankenberge offers numerous attractions, a casino and endless numbers of bistros and beach bars.
A special attraction is the coastal tram, which follows the Belgian coastline from De Panne to Knokke-Heist. The hinterland of Blankenberge consists of polders where you can go for walks or cycling trips. And to top it all, the magnificent historical town of Bruges is only 13 km away.
