Camping La Bien-Assise issituated close to the centre of Guînes, a village not far from Calais. The castle campsite is therefore popular with British tourists for whom this is the first (or last) stopover in France. The campsite is located in an attractive, rather flat, rural area. The grounds are dominated by large trees and look very attractive. The rural setting will give you an immediate French holiday feeling, while the coast of the English Channel is not far away.

Campsite and sanitary facilities
There are 46 mobile homes on the campsite which are fitted with all amenities. There are also four wooden, fully furnished rental holiday cottages. Other camping guests have access to good and modern sanitary facilities in the service building.
Swimming pool
Because camping La Bien-Assise is not directly situated on the sea, a lake or river, it has a covered swimming pool with large water slide. However, at a distance of only 16 km, you will find Escalles and Cap Blanc-Nez, where you can spend the day on the beach. Wimereux and Sangatte are located at similar distances.
Hotel/Restaurant
On the grounds you will also find the three-star hotel L’auberge du Colombier, located in a small 19th century castle, as well as the restaurant La Ferme Gourmande. The restaurant serves classic French dishes, also on the terrace when the weather allows it. From here you have a view of the castle's dovecote. There is a cosy bar near the reception (with a small library).
Shop
As is the case at most campsites, camping La Bien-Assise also has its own small shop. Are you looking for a larger assortment? In Guînes itself there is a variety of supermarkets and typical French shops.
