If you love fresh mussels and oysters, you've come to the right place at Camping Au Port-Punay. And you'll easily find the necessary relaxation on the beach (only 200 metres away), in the charming villages on the Atlantic coast and the large campsite swimming pool with comfortable loungers. The campsite is located between the city of La Rochelle and near the charming fishing village of Les Boucheleurs. The village is known for its oysters and mussels. This is reflected on the menus of most of the restaurants in this area.

Up in the air

Camping Au Port-Punay has put up inventive lodge tents on the campsite. These tents are on stilts of 1.20 metres high, and you access them via stairs. Inside you'll find all you need for a relaxed, comfortable holiday.

Camping Au Port-Punay naturally also welcomes campers who bring their own equipment. There is also a camper service station where you can refresh your water. You will get a free token for this service point for each stay.

Plenty of cooling down

Because the beach is only 200 metres away, you can easily reach the beach for a refreshing dip, to build a sand castle or play a great round of beach volleyball. The water on the Atlantic coast can be a bit cold, especially at the beginning and end of the summer. The campsite swimming pool can remedy that. There is a separate section for the little campers and plenty of space around the pool to enjoy the warm summer sun.

"Pleasant family campsite with predominantly still real camping plots, partly under high trees on 150 m from the sea. Perfect sanitary facilities and spacious plots. Charming little fishing village, very suitable as a starting point for a visit to the islands of Ré and Aix. Located between the historic and tourist towns of La Rochelle and Rochefort. Châtelaillon and its surroundings are very good to explore by bike."

Liked - Nice surrounding area and staff attentive and always helpfull . I used the title September because they do reduce activities and services which is common in France but might make people annoyed if they expect everything shown I Web site . I did not have any issues with this personnely.
Disliked - Heavy rain one night which encouraged alot mostiqto the next day when area was damp and humid . Not much the site can do about this as they clean pitch before every arrival.

Liked - The welcome was warm and friendly and that theme stayed throughout our stay. The staff were always on hand and available to answer any questions we may have. We had a great pitch which fully suited our needs. We did not use the restaurant but the morning bread service and evening takeaway were great. The campsite is well placed in Port Punay with easy access to all that the village and nearby Châtelaillon-Plage have to offer.

Liked - I'm absolutely positive surprised about camping au port punay. Very friendly atmosphere. Kids can used all area to drive on bikes, scooters or running with 100%safety. Staff were very friendly definitely I would like to recomend this camping for everyone.
Disliked - Maybe only more lights on main avenue.
