Camp site Le Beaulieu is situated in the French Charente-Maritime region. The camp site is close to the town of La Rochelle, where you can stroll through the scenic streets or along the old harbour to taste the atmosphere of the town. In close proximity to the camp site you will find the Île de Ré island which is linked to the mainland via a toll bridge.

There are open spots at Camping Le Beaulieu where you can pitch your own camping equipment as well as spots that are (partly) sheltered by hedges. Hence you can choose a spot which is partially shaded or a spot in full sun. During peak season, the camp site is patrolled by a night watch. There are also various rental objects.

Dive into the pool or into the ocean

The camping has a spacious and heated swimming pool, which can be partially covered. Convenient when the weather is not at its best, you can still enjoy your swim. There are deckchairs around the swimming pool to enjoy those sunny days. There is a play area with water spouting toys/equipment for toddlers and a separate paddling pool. For the older children there is a fun slide and water aerobics is offered in summer.

The place for entertainment par excellence: L’Ami Temps

At the centre of the camp site lies the restaurant L’ Ami Temps that serves rolls, pizzas, chicken and fries and ice cream for dessert. In the evenings, campers gather at L'Ami Temps as this is the central meeting spot for entertainment and socializing, especially in peak season with paella evenings, musical disco and karaoke evenings.

Liked - The toilets and showers were filthy!

Also, we had our electric hook up cable stolen from the pitch.
We informed a member of staff in the office but she told us “it is nothing to do with me”. Awful attitude.

Avoid this place!
Disliked - Build a new toilet and shower block!

Liked - Nicely situated for visiting La Rochelle and for shops.
Disliked - Toilet and shower areas need updates and more attention to cleaning,laundry area difficult to access because of clothes left by campers on top of machines left to dry should be a drying area.

Liked - Spacious pitches. Pleasant and very helpful staff. Nice bar and generally clean and tidy
Disliked - Lack of water taps and only available water from the toulet block was warm/hot. Not suitable for waterbut storage and drinking. Drainage point on pitch would help for getting rid of grey water rather than a long walk to use the chemical point

Liked - Very handy for the bus ride into La Rochelle (though the directions to the bus stop could be made clearer if a map was provided). Nice clean sanitation block. Some of the pitches were very big, others (like the one we were on) were less well defined and people were coming through it on their way to the sanitary block. Poor recycling facilities outside the campsite.

Gorgeous Campsite hidden in the middle of a commercial centre.Only 15 mins by bus to Le Rochelle. Bus stop 2 mins walk away .Bery quiet at night Toilet facilities very clean & secure . The restaurant was lovely and the food was great . Great shopping centre across the road with a hugh Super U supermarket. I would certainly go back & highly recommend it .
