In the Campania region, south of the town of Salerno, lies campsite La Foce dei Tramonti at the mouth of the Sele river. This modest, small-scale campsite is situated near the famous excavations of Paestum, the ancient city with its beautiful Greek temples (UNESCO World Heritage).

Camping by the sea or the river

La Foce dei Tramonti looks very well-tended, with lots of greenery and beautiful flowering plants. You are warmly welcomed at the reception. Paved, parallel running pathways lead to the pitches at the far end of the campsite. These vary in size, but are all sufficiently spacious and partly demarcated with plants or hedges.

The most beautiful pitches are located on the promontory jutting out into the sea, but these are also the least shaded. The pitches by the river are ideal for fishing enthusiasts. There is a special area for motorhomes with a view of the sea. You can also rent a bungalow.

Enjoy the delicious regional dishes

There is a small swimming pool for young children on the campsite. The pool is surrounded by a few loungers and sun umbrellas. The sandy beach belonging to the campsite can be reached via a flight of stairs. Furthermore, there is a bar and a restaurant-pizzeria with a modest menu (take-away possible). You can go here for delicious regional dishes. The service is friendly and you can eat al fresco on a covered terrace at large wooden tables. There is also a small supermarket on the grounds.

The sanitary facilities look impeccable. The showers with solar collectors are located at the front near the reception.

Travelling party: Seniors

Foce dei Tramonti is the most beautiful campsite I have ever stayed in. Our thanks to Fernando, Frederica and all the family and staff for the wonderful few weeks we spent there in June this year (2022). Everybody was friendly, extremely helpful, and happily engaged in solving any problem we had.
Water and sink at the pitch, site on the sea with many beaches running along this coast. There is also a lovely sense of community amongst the long term campers. A quiet site, no loud music, highly recommended!

C\'est un camping fabuleux. La famille qui la gère est ravissante et vérifie que tout va bien tous les jours. J\'ai trouvé l\'atmosphère parmi les plus amicales que j\'ai rencontrées au cours de mes voyages. Bel emplacement; génial pour pêcher ou se détendre sur une plage. Le personnel du restaurant et du bar est sympathique et rigole bien.
