Macugnaga Natural Camping is in the stunning area of the Italian Alps. You stay at the foot of the Monte Rosa in the Valle Anzasca. Due to the breathtaking views of the mountains, this region has been named as one of the seven wonders of the Ossola Valley. You can also camp at this campsite in the winter and trek into the mountains to ski down to the bottom. And in the summer, Monte Rosa is perfect for active campers who like walking and cycling.

First impression
The reception is located in a classic Italian building where you will be warmly welcomed. You drive to the camping pitches on the grass via paved roads. Fifty camping pitches are available. These are spacious pitches for tents, but the pitches for motorhomes or caravans are not particularly generous.
The toilet blocks look dated but the toilet and washing facilities are neat, well maintained and clean.
Discount from the campsite
If you fancy a drink after a long walk, you can get one at the campsite's bar. The closest supermarket is in the village, within a 15-minute walk. The campsite owners have a good relationship with the local restaurants and cafés in the village. You can enjoy a meal at a discount there.
Italian flavour
There is plenty to do at the campsite. There is a playground for the children, a ping pong table and a jeu de boules court. You can go horse riding and hire bikes. And there is an added extra, a kitchen garden. You can pick the herbs and vegetables to give your meal that extra bit of Italian flavour.
