In the north-west of Sicily, near the town of San Vito Lo Capo, lies Camping Village El Bahira. San Vito Lo Capo is a gorgeous place and a very popular, exclusive holiday destination for Italians from the mainland. In addition to enjoying the sun and the sea, you can take beautiful trips in the western part of Sicily.

Beautiful sunsets

El Bahira is beautifully situated on the sea, on the west side of the cape where you can also find San Vito lo Capo. You can enjoy beautiful sunsets here. The first thing that strikes you are the many cosy corners and the abundance of greenery. On the campsite a lot of attention is paid to ecology and peace. Therefore, car traffic on the campsite is limited.

The pitches for tents, caravans and mobile homes are separate from each other. The pitches have quite a bit of shade. In addition, there are beautiful and well equipped rental mobile homes.

Herb path and garbage donkey

Two special features linked to the attention paid to ecology are the herb path and the donkey that comes to collect the (separated) garbage from the campsite each day.

Swimming pool with seawater

El Bahira has a swimming pool with seawater, which overlooks the sea, a separate children's pool and loungers around. To get to the sea, you have to walk down from the campsite. There is a restaurant with full menu, but there are also other nice eating establishments in nearby San Vito Lo Capo.

For coffee, a drink or an ice cream you can go to the campsite bar. In peak season there is the usual organised entertainment.

Travelling party: Seniors

Sehr schöner Campingplatz direkt am Meer mit Aussicht auf die Berge. Alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein Pool sowie ein Tennisplatz sind auch vorhanden. Für Besucher ohne Wohnmobil sind Hütten vorhanden. Der Weg zum Strand ist kurz und es gibt fort auch einen Hundestrand. Die Stellplätze für Wohnmobile und Wohnwagen sind ausreichend groß. Wasser und Strom sind an den Plätzen.

Der Platz hat alles was man begehrt. Großzügige Poolanlage, Minigolf, freier Strandzugang mit musikunterhaltender Strandbar, ein Geschäft für den täglichen Bedarf, Restaurant, Bar und Pizzeri und ein sehr sauberes Sanitär und das alles in einer traumhaften Lage

Schön gelegener Campingplatz zwischen der Felsenküsten und steil aufragenenden Felsen wo geklettert werden kann. Das Baden ist z. T eher schwierig. Es hat jedoch in der Nähen wunderschön Buchten zum Baden. das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Sanitäranlagen sauber und gut gepflegt. Die Duschen sind jedoch nicht gedekt, so dass es bei kälteren Temperaturen und bei Regen etwas unangenehm ist.

Travelling party: Family with children, various ages

Der Campingplatz ist besonders bei Kletterern beliebt aber auch uns hat er gut gefallen. Die Mitarbeiter waren super freundlich und unkompliziert. Das beste aber ist die Lage. Wenn man Abends auf der Terrasse noch eine Kleinigkeit isst oder trinkt und die Kinder auf der Hüpfburg spielen kann man den tollsten Sonnenuntergang genießen.
Der Platz selbst ist recht groß, aber in der Nebensaison schön ruhig.
Die Sanitäranlagen sind ok. Klopapier und Seife muss man allerdings selber mitbringen...

Travelling party: Couple

Wir haben drei Nächte im November auf dem Camping El Bahira verbracht. Wir hatten einen schönen Stellplatz, die Parzellen sind ausreichend groß, der Platz ist sehr liebevoll gestaltet. Auffallend waren die vielen jungen Menschen, die hier übernachten, da direkt am Campingplatz Kletterrouten beginnen. Dadurch herrschte am Platz eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Leider waren die drei Mitarbeiter am Empfang unfreundlich und desinteressiert. Wir waren in der Nebensaison dort, so waren Restaurant und Swimmingpool geschlossen. Die sanitären Anlagen wurden nicht mehr gesäubert. Problematisch waren die unüberdachten Duschen und Waschbecken zum Spülen, die von Blättern der umliegenden Bäume verstopft waren. Alles war dreckig! Die Duschen funktionieren mit Münzen, die außerhalb der Kabinen liegen, die Duschzeit ist sehr kurz. Für uns waren das die schlimmsten Duschen, die wir je hatten. Der Strand des Campingplatzes ist sehr schön, wegen der Felsen ist er zum Baden weniger geeignet, aber man kann Spaziergänge machen und die Sonnenuntergänge sind phänomenal. Es gibt keine Einkaufsmöglichkeit in unmittelbarer Nähe.
