Camping de Kreekoever is located in the middle of the wooded creek area of the Zeeland peninsula Schouwen-Duiveland, within walking distance of the Oosterschelde. This is a wonderful area for relaxing, enjoying water sports, or taking a lovely cycling or hiking trip. The beach, the forest, several museums and picturesque villages can all be reached on foot or by bike.

Shade and privacy

The site looks tidy and is well-maintained. The tourist pitches are on the edges of fields lined with old oak trees and sheltered fields. There is plenty of space and you can enjoy the shade every day. The central fields are all permanent and seasonal pitches, bordered by high hedges. Rent a chalet or lodge tent for added comfort.

Strolling along the Oosterschelde

In the Oosterschelde, one kilometre away, you can enjoy swimming, kite and regular surfing, sailing, scuba diving and sunbathing. There are two sandy beaches in the immediate vicinity of the campsite. Take a stroll along the edge of the water; who knows what will wash up...

Play or head to the entertainment

Children can play on a playground with all kinds of equipment or show off their skills on the trampoline. Sporty guests can enjoy the spacious grass field or the table tennis table. There is an entertainment team in the high season to organise a range of activities, from kid's bingo to ghost tours.

Camping shop

The camping shop has a limited range, featuring fresh vegetables and fruit. Fresh bread is also available in the high season. Two restaurants can be found in the area surrounding Camping De Kreekoever, while more choice is available in Ouwerkerk, which is close by.

Eenvoudige zeer nette camping. Prima sanitair. Afspraak over flexibele verblijfperiode werd niet nagekomen, waardoor onze plek al weer was verhuurd en wij moesten vertrekken.

De Zeeuwse gastvrijheid hebben we op deze camping helaas niet gehad. We kwamen 45 minuten te vroeg aan door omstandigheden en we hadden gezien dat onze chalet al helemaal gereed was om ons de sleutel te kunnen geven, want de de fam Wijnen hadden ons al aan zien komen, maar ons gewoon in de kou en regen buiten laten staan...anders geen probleem als het mooi weer was geweest om even te wachten, maar doe nu met de corona periode niet zo moeilijk, want er waren verder geen andere bezoekers die zich die dag moesten melden. Ze hadden ons ook even kunnen verwelkomen, maar uiteindelijk toen om 15.00 uur de deur van de receptie open werd gedraaid, stond ik voor een saggerijnige eigenaresse die ook helemaal niet vroeg of we een goede reis hadden gehad van ruim 2 uur. Ook daarna niet even gevraagd of alles naar wens was. Wat wel heel fijn was dat de chalet erg schoon was, ik moet namelijk vaak bij vakantiehuisjes zelf nog alles goed schoonmaken. Het is heel gezellig en knus ingericht, de bedden waren keurig opgemaakt en we hebben er prettig op kunnen slapen, dit alles geef ik een 10. De campingwinkel stelt niets voor, ik zag alleen flessen wijn staan, dus neem genoeg mee van huis. In het dorp zijn er geen winkels, dus moet je een stuk rijden als je iets vergeten bent mee te nemen. Verder weinig te beleven, je bent wel afhankelijk van de auto of een tip: neem fietsen mee van huis.
Voor de vaste gasten zal de familie heel gastvrij zijn, maar deze mensen moeten nog veel leren als het om mensen gaat die voor de eerste keer komen, voor ons dan ook de laatste keer...heel jammer!
