Lake Sommen is located on the border between Småland and Östergötland. On the Småland bank of the lake you'll find Hätte Camping, only 4 km from the town of Tranås. The campground is located in a typical Småland environment with many trees and lakes. The camping guests have over 100 campsites with electrics and 30 spots for tents. There are also ten or so red stugas (trekker huts) for hire.

The sites on the campground are separated, so you always have plenty of space for your tent, caravan or camper along the paved roads. Some of the sites are located in a field under trees.
The beating heart
The reception building is the beating heart of the campground, where the owners will give you a warm welcome. You can do your daily shopping in the shop. The Sjökrogen restaurant is right next to the camping. Boats and canoes can be rented at Petrus Kajak.
Spacious options
Many of the activities start right at the campground: cycling excursions (campground rents bikes), hikes and kayak trips will lead you through the varied landscape of Småland and Östergötland. This is a typical Swedish landscape: slightly rolling, full of dark forests and blue lakes with red houses dotted here and there. You have a good chance of seeing a moose...
Even if you don't want to leave the campground, you'll have plenty of fun along Lake Sommen, where you can have a swim and where children will feel safe.
