The area is perfect for beautiful hiking and cycling trips. And afterwards you can head to the sports restaurant to satisfy your appetite.

Small-scale camping

If you like small campsites, then this is the place for you. There are just 12 camping pitches at Camping Waldenstein. The pitches are spacious and level and are separated from each other by hedges and wooden fences. You'll find the heated sanitary facilities in the adjacent sports and cultural centre. The sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained. The showers were originally built for the tennis hall and are therefore not separated. Please note: Pets are not allowed at the campsite.

Sports activities

Next to the campsite is a large tennis complex that sports enthusiasts can use. It has three outdoor tennis courts and an indoor tennis court. Besides tennis you can also play squash and padel. There are also various hiking and cycling routes in the area. The 50 kilometre Robert Hamerling Weg trail and 17 kilometre Kneipp hiking trail run directly past the campsite.

Relax with Kneipp therapy

Waldenstein is known for Kneipp therapy. Hydrotherapy is central to this - a water cure that is good for body and mind. There's a small swimming pond at the campsite, where you can join the frogs for a dip. Or walk around on the barefoot path, a special experience that stimulates your senses.
