This campsite was terrible; it was focussed on chalets and mobile homes and the touring pitches - such as they were - were bunched together, 4 to a small hedged enclosure, of which there were 10, right out in the back of beyond. The roads were apalling, there was only one triage point, about 150m from where we were parked. There was NO tap from which to fill our water tank, except for that over the chemical toilet disposal point. If there was any bar/restaurant we did not find it, although we did find the shop. The site was VERY noisy at the weekend. Good slides and pools although half were closed. No entertainments to speak of. Good childrens play park, but as a 60 years old plus couple this did not really make up for the deficiencies of the site.
I tested the 230V electric system when I hooked up my caravan. My tester showed that there was an earth fault. I tried several different outlets - all have earth faults. The site is dangerous.
To get to the campsite, we followed our SatNav as there were no signposts from the Namur-Liege road. This took us along very narrow and hilly roads. It would be useful if there were directions to the site in the ACSI entry so that one can avoid taking the wrong roads.
The showers etc are new and good but they are a long, long way from the camping site. The toilets are closed for a long time in the morning when you want to use them.
****BEWARE*** THE worst campsite I have ever visited. I was a solo traveller with small tent and motorbike, however I was charged for 2 people and larger tent as they could not adjust their prices. It was quite late and I begrudgingly accepted. However this was the least of my worries. When I rode to the allocated tent pitches I was shocked at what I saw. The whole area was overcrowded, with litter and dog mess. The tent pitches are not acceptable as they are rocky, very sloping and covered with rubbish. A number of dogs were roaming and attended and one did his toilet in the middle of the pitch area, no one came to clean it away!! The campsite area that I saw as I rode around looking for a suitable spot was UNACCEPTABLE and I would not stay here if you paid me to. After 15 minutes of looking in awe at the squalid and overcrowded campsite, I decided to request a refund and find another campsite. Luckily the is another 20km away that had a place for me even though it was late. I cannot believe that this campsite has been reviewed and accepted. It is a disgrace and I would NEVER consider staying here again.
We stayed here in a caravan for 8 nights,This site needs URGENT attention..We wondered why we couldn't find any reviews on this site..How I wish we had..The toilets shower blocks are filthy dirty and stink, they are not only dated but in very bad condition, the park for the childrens looks fantastic but on closer inspection a lot of the rides are broken, need attention or should be taken away, such a shame..no maintenance what so ever, the recycling area was dirty and for the duration of our stay every bin was overflowing, broken bottles everywhere and tins on floor, still no one from the site cleared this mess..There was dog dirt ever where..yes the owners should pick up but still this site has customers..Also it seems to be s free for all when it comes to the weekend..patries in toilets etc..lets camp anywhere and everywhere..ACSI SHOULD REMOVE THEIR SIGN FROM RECEPTION very misleading..the pools are the only good point..we shall not return
Filthy dirty campsite ! Dog dirt everywhere, toilets absolutely disgusting ! Shop shuts at 6.00pm. Very small pitch for caravans, site drainage very poor, puddles and mud everywhere. Would NEVER go here again !
The toilet block was disgusting, don't think it was ever cleaned. Stained sinks and toilets. Filthy, overflowing rubbish bins outside. I could not use the shower but my partner said they were cold.
Not at all impressed. Toilets awful, nothing open (shop and snack bar should have been) no earth on electricity, no motorhome service point although shown on site plan, pitched on spare piece of land next to boules pitch, no available water. A very depressing stay.
The toilet facilities here were unacceptable. No toilet rolls or even toilet roll holders in the wc's, no soap dispensers in wc's sinks, no hot water in washroom sinks and, although there was hot water in the showers, it came out very hot and the temperature could not be regulated. A good point however was that wi-fi was free and could accessed in the warm and spacious reception area
We stayed here Sunday 16 September 2012.
Next to the "Jeu de boules ally" the electrics there were faulty. When I tested the supply my tester came with "Earth Fault" I notified the office and was told I was the only one complaining, and that there was no one available to help me as it was a Sunday. I tried connecting to seven different sockets and they all came up with the same fault. The toilets were an absolute disgrace, with toilet bowls covered in faeces. I suggest that ACSI review this site quickly.
