Travelling party: Seniors

Excellent little campsite by the river with level pitches. Route directions were good. Plenty of space this time of year.
We were asked to pay up front which was a bit strange as we were not sure how long we were staying.
The site had gated electronic access to get in and out, and the same card was used to gain hot water in the showers.
We were asked for a deposit for the card of 20 euros and an addtional 10 euros for using the hot water at the showers. This 30 euros was refunded when we left as it was included in ACCSI pricing.
There is plenty do do and see in the area and as the information indicated plenty of local walks off the site and in to the village.
While we thouroughly enjoyed ourselves the reception area was mostly closed and a phone number for contact was pinned up. It would have been nice to give trade to the site rather than go in to the village for a drink etc. This did not detract from an enjoyable stay of 15 days with mostly very good weather.

We were here early june and the site was very quiet, the nightwatch man was very helpfull and obliging. We will use again if we ever return to the area.

Quiet stopover campsite at walking distance from the centre of Hotton, a typical, welcoming village in the Ardennes with restaurants, cafes, a supermarket and newspaper shop. Camp in a traditional trailer or in your own caravan or tent. Plenty of options for walking and cycling.
