Close to the village of Poupehan, the Semois river meanders through a magnificent landscape of woodlands and forests. Campsite Le Prahay is the very first campsite you will get to from the village. Here you camp in an oasis of greenery and tranquillity. With its takeover in 2018, a young Dutch couple has breathed new life into the campsite.

Green, greener, greenest

The camping pitches are very generous in size. When the campsite is not fully booked, you can choose a pitch near the river where the occasional tree will provide some shade. Alternatively, you can choose a spot a bit further away from the river on a separate tent area. Wherever you camp, you have a view of the surrounding forests.

Camping in a rental tent

What to do if you want to spend your holiday here but do not have a tent or caravan. Simply rent one of the three tepee tents, one of the five luxury sleeping tents or one of the two luxury safari tents with private sanitary facilities.

Sports activities in and on the river

On Campsite Le Prahay you leave the hustle and bustle of city life behind you. Enjoy reading a good book while the children keep themselves busy in the river with a bucket and landing net. If you like to cast a line, don't forget to bring your gear along. Please note: you need a fishing permit.

You can also 'take on' the river by kayak. You can hire a kayak some five hundred metres along from the campsite. Or you can borrow one on the campsite for a short trip.

Super propere camping. Alles wordt dagelijks onderhouden. Sanitair meermaals per dag. Groenonderhoud ook dagelijks en wordt veel belang aan gehecht. Deze mensen doen alles om het de gasten naar hun zin te maken!

Fantastisch gesitueerd aan de Semois. Zeer klantvriendelijke eigenaren.
Mooie ruime kampeerplaatsen, geweldige huurtenten, goed sanitair, aantrekkelijke wandel- en mtb routes.
Lekker eten en drinken op gezellig terras.

Geweldige omgeving met heel wat bezienswaardigheden en mooie plaatsjes in de buurt. Personeel & uitbaters erg behulpzaam & vriendelijk. Top sfeer, lekker eten & drinken & erg mooie & ruime plaatsen. Correcte prijs voor wat je krijgt. Proper sanitair , regelmatig live optredens aan gezellig terras. Wie rust & gezelligheid in een fantastische setting belangrijk vind zal hier zeker genieten. Internet is het enige minpuntje als dit belangrijk voor je is.

Een nette camping op een prachtige plek! We hadden een prima verblijf op deze camping.

Het sanitair wordt erg regelmatig schoongemaakt, daar is niets op aan te merken. Een klein aandachtspuntje is de hoeveelheid toiletten richting het uiteinde van de camping, hierdoor moet je 's ochtends wel eens wachten.

Houd er rekening mee dat er op de camping (naar onze ervaring) weinig tot geen mobiel bereik is. Als je moet bellen om iets te reserveren, of je wilt digitaal een route uitstippelen, kun je dat beter niet op de camping doen. De camping zelf heeft wel wifi, maar deze hapert veel op de plekken die verder van de receptie zijn verwijderd.

De omgeving is prachtig, het uitzicht op de camping is top, er is weinig lichtvervuiling (je kunt dus goed sterren kijken), en ook het eten en drinken is goed geregeld. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam, ze helpen je bijvoorbeeld graag op weg met handige tips over de omgeving.

Over het algemeen een goede camping, waar, op de twee genoemde aandachtspuntjes na, niets op aan te merken valt!

Camping is gelegen in een mooie bosrijke omgeving met heel veel wandelmogelijkheden. Sanitair is verzorgd, coronaproof, maar in het weekend was het toch een beetje (te) druk voor het voorziene aanbod. Ruime standplaatsen en vriendelijk personeel. Aankoop mogelijkheden zijn in directe omgeving eerder beperkt.

Eénmaal op de camping naast het water begint onmiddelijk het vakantie gevoel door de rust en prachtige natuur. De uitbaters hebben geld nog moeite gespaard om te camping prachtig op te frissen. Een echte aanrader met leuke uitbaters die dag en nacht paraat staan. Ook leuk is het , dat er altijd wel een event is waar je aan kunt deelnemen aan democratische prijzen.
Ook tof dat honden welkom zijn .
