Close to the village of Poupehan, the Semois river meanders through a magnificent landscape of woodlands and forests. Campsite Le Prahay is the very first campsite you will get to from the village. Here you camp in an oasis of greenery and tranquillity. With its takeover in 2018, a young Dutch couple has breathed new life into the campsite.

Green, greener, greenest

The camping pitches are very generous in size. When the campsite is not fully booked, you can choose a pitch near the river where the occasional tree will provide some shade. Alternatively, you can choose a spot a bit further away from the river on a separate tent area. Wherever you camp, you have a view of the surrounding forests.

Camping in a rental tent

What to do if you want to spend your holiday here but do not have a tent or caravan. Simply rent one of the three tepee tents, one of the five luxury sleeping tents or one of the two luxury safari tents with private sanitary facilities.

Sports activities in and on the river

On Campsite Le Prahay you leave the hustle and bustle of city life behind you. Enjoy reading a good book while the children keep themselves busy in the river with a bucket and landing net. If you like to cast a line, don't forget to bring your gear along. Please note: you need a fishing permit.

You can also 'take on' the river by kayak. You can hire a kayak some five hundred metres along from the campsite. Or you can borrow one on the campsite for a short trip.

Prachtige camping geworden en dat in 5 jaar iedere keer als ik er weer ben verbaasd het me weer hoe het weer mooier is geworden egt een aanrader om daar eens te gaan kijken ook een prachtige omgeving goed eten op de camping gezellig wat drinken bij de vuurkorf top

Camping werd prima onderhouden met goed en schoon sanitair. Alleen wifi op de camping was slecht of niet aanwezig ook gsm bereik was slecht. Wel was er wifi bij de receptie maar was ook niet geweldig. Terras kon je lekker drankje nemen of een hapje, wel stevig aan de prijs.

veeel te weinig toiletten en wasgelegenheden, totaal geen wifi en geen bereik met de telefoon, te laag water om te kajakken,in de rij staan om te douchen is normaal, iedere dag wordt het gras gemaaid en een patatje alleen op bepaalde dagen, verder is de omgeving grandioos

prachtige ligging midden in de natuur aan de Semois. mooie ruime plaatsen zonder het strakke straatjes gevoel op veel andere campings. hele goede sfeer en zeer vriendelijke uitbaters. ze hebben een heel fijn terras aan de rivier met in de koudere avonden vuurtoren en in de weekenden vaak live muziek met een lekkere bbq of varken aan het spit. ook mogelijk om vuurschalen te huren voor op je kampeerplek. hier kom je helemaal tot rust en telkens weer een thuiskom gevoel. wij blijven hier zeker komen en kunnen deze camping iedereen aanraden die op zoek is naar een unieke kampeer ervaring

Camping is gelegen in een mooie bosrijke omgeving met heel veel wandelmogelijkheden. Sanitair is verzorgd, coronaproof, maar in het weekend was het toch een beetje (te) druk voor het voorziene aanbod. Ruime standplaatsen en vriendelijk personeel. Aankoop mogelijkheden zijn in directe omgeving eerder beperkt.

Camping Le Prahay is een camping die sterk in ontwikkeling is maar waar het nu al goed toeven is. De nieuwe eigenaren werken er hard aan om van dit mooie terrein een ideale camping te maken. Zij zijn altijd duidelijk aanwezig en zeer betrokken bij de gasten en weten een goede sfeer te bewerkstelligen.
Het sanitair is schoon en opgeknapt en zal in de komende tijd nog uitgebreid gaan worden. Ook wordt er aandacht besteed aan het verbeteren van de WiFi.
In de omgeving zijn talloze mogelijkheden voor uitstapjes en het doen van grote en kleine wandelingen, op de camping is voldoende informatie over dit alles aanwezig.

Geweldige mooie en leuke camping, geheel relaxed verblijven langs de Semois, een leuke kantine en lekkere pizza`s.
De eigenaren zijn heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam, ze werken nog steeds hard aan allerlei verbeteringen om het nog mooier cq aangenamer te maken. Ook genoten van het heerlijke terras en de drankjes. Zeker een aanrader om hier te verblijven.
