Use this site as one night stopover gents toilet stinks, showers extremely basic and coin operation very few water taps site roads poor only thing nice are the photos of the Manor
We spend one night there cycling from Antwerp to Paris, two adults one toddler. The camping is situated in the garden of a castle, but both the castle and garden feel like one big missed opportunity, it misses personality and atmosphere. Most people staying there are long stay camping residents. Showers are ok for adults but not child or family friendly. The showers are singular big cabins without separation, so it is a challenge to shower and keep your clothes or towel dry.
stayed only one night as a stop over on route to italy. booked this months prior and didn even have to pre pay. we were very tired from our journey and we were met with a friendly gentleman who remembered me emailing. cant comment on the surroundings or pool as didn stay long enough to explore. facilities very clean. quiet site and would recommend.
very reasonably priced i thought.
We stayed at this campsite over the weekend in early September. The welcome was OK. The campsite was untidy, toilets dirty, shower with tokens OK with plenty of time. When washing pots had to pay for hot water. Noise level similar to Spain. Local shop nearby open 7am to 7pm, the best thing about this site was the local shop. Would not return.
We used this site as an overnight stop on the way to the Tunnel as it's near the toll-free/cheap diesel route through Belgium and Luxembourg. It's a quiet rural site located in huge grounds mostly filled with statics. We were given a nice spacious pitch on gravel with EHU, water and a toilet/shower block close by. The toilet block is tired, not very clean, drafty and basic. Didn't see any other facilities as we were miles from the main building. Ok for a one night stop.
I cannot comment on the quality of this site when it is open, as we stayed there in early October when it is effectively closed. It is advertised as open until the end of October, but when we stayed in early Otober all facilities were closed. The toilets, which are basic to say the least, were not effectively cleaned, and all advertised facilities were closed, though the full price was charged.
This is not what you would expect as a site for touring caravans as most space is taken up by ex-touring vans complete with awnings and gazebos which have clearly been there for a long time and will never move again. It has the appearance of a shanty town.
