Very nice small campsite nicely positioned for the Belgian coast and Plopsaland. Camp is run by very nice friendly people and is only 45 minutes from Calais.
A small, quiet site. Staff were friendly. Nice to be able to order bread for the morning. Shower and toilet blocks clean and modern. About 25 minutes\' walk to the beach at De Panne and 15 minutes\' walk to the first stop on the excellent Coast Tram (3 Euros per day - hop on and off as you like).
Small site down a stone access road. Toilets very clean. Good sized pitches. Handy for ferries from Dunkirk.
Stayed here for a couple of nights on our way back to the UK. We were greeted warmly, got booked in and got our gate fob (€5 but refunded on return of fob). The site is fairly small with large level pitches separated by small trees. The toilets and showers are kept very clean, you do need your own loo roll, but if you forget its sold in reception they also ask if you would like fresh bread in the morning. Its a nice flat cycle down to the beach and copious amounts of cafes and restaurants. The tram is just down the road if you wanted to travel up the coast. Its a lovely site, ideal for a stop over or longer if you wanted to explore Flanders. We will be using it again Im sure
Small camp site friendly owner, very peaceful and quiet, good clean facilities, level pitches.
Excellent site, very friendly and helpful staff. Booked for 3 nights but ended up staying 10 nights.
A lovely site and delightfully quiet. Easy cycle ride into the town (past a comprehensive supermarket) and from there on great cycle lanes and tracks to the coast at De Panne. Good toilet block and large pitches.
Surprised to find no French spoken so close to the border, and no English either, but managed fine with the friendly family who run the site.
So close to the ferries it is definitely a site we shall use again.
Easy to find using ACSI or CC instructions. Welcome when we arrived just before dark from Calais. Ample hedged grassy pitch among trees. Good toilets. Excellent NH on our journey.
Arrived early evening just before the reception closed. Helpful but no English. Very quiet night and comfortable grass pitch. Facilities OK. Nothing to complain about. As good a Belgian campsite as we have been on; as in our experience they are usually a bit worn or rustic.
English or French wasn't spoken on our visit, but male & female owners were lovely and we managed to communicate well enough... There is a supermarket nearby that has a good selection of Belgian beers (slurp!) at bargain prices (great for stocking up on duty free on way home). The toilet/shower facilities were excellent & spotless, the grass pitches are all totally flat (great for overnight ferry stays). A town is within easy walking distance. The site was perfectly quiet. It was our first stay in Belgium, and was a cultural treat because of the major différences from France, despite it only being a few miles away from the French border! Beware, as the site currently does not accept credit/debit cards. This is the perfect site for UK visitors using the Dunkirk ferry. There is a fast road behind the site within around 400 metres, but the site is quiet enough by the day & night (and we have a pop-top Eriba that lets outside noise in more). We will be back in October!
