Kompas Camping Nieuwpoort is a spacious and well maintained family campsite near the coast of the well-known town of Nieuwpoort. The beach and boulevard of Nieuwpoort-Bad are tourist attractions, as is the large marina. On this campsite there is plenty to do for families with children up to the age of 12.

Well maintained, spacious campsite

You arrive at a large camping which makes a well maintained impression. Lots of families stay on the well maintained campsite; a real family campsite. The pitches are spacious and attractively laid out, so that it is easy to find a pitch with any type of camping gear. It soon becomes obvious that many camping guests are regular visitors. This makes for a amicable atmosphere.

Perfect for families

The swimming pool and entertainment are mainly aimed at children. Children can play inside and outside and there is also a sports field and a MTB track for the youth. During Belgian school holidays there is a daily entertainment programme for young and old. The campsite has two swimming pools, one children's pool and a lovely water slide. It is best to go by bicycle or take the car to get to the beach and boulevard at Nieuwpoort-Bad. The recreation lake is also easy to reach.

Wide and fresh selection

The brasserie and snack bar offers a wide choice of dishes and snacks, including Flemish 'frieten', of course. Take-away is also possible. You can do your grocery shopping in the well-stocked supermarket. Moreover, the campsite has its own bakery with daily fresh bread and rolls. The sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained.

Met de Camper voor de eerste maal een XXL plaats genomen voor een midweek. Zeer goed bevallen, rustig en dicht bij het fietspad en water.

Komen altijd graag terug naar deze verzorgde camping. Rustig gelegen en Nieuwpoort is een geweldige badstad.

Goede staanplaatsen, maar camping wordt meer en meer verblijfspark met chalets en huisjes. De gewone trekker is binnen enkele jaren een uitzondering.

Dank zij de prima ligging van de camping en het gebruik van onze elektrische fietsen konden we de prachtige streek rond de Ijzer uitgebreid verkennen. We startten de dag met een lekker ontbijt met heerlijk vers brood uit de kampwinkel. Bij terugkeer konden we een smakelijk drankje proeven op het terras van het café waar ook nog een fijne maaltijd tot de mogelijkheden behoorde.

Onthaal niet vriendelijk. Bij het aanmelden krijg je geen info over de faciliteiten van de camping. Er is ook geen toeristische info beschikbaar. Onthaal op zaterdag al om 17 uur gesloten ! Cafetaria op vrijdag pas open om 18 uur. Shopuitbater is wel vriendelijk. Sanitair is in vergelijking met andere campings luxueus te noemen al zijn er velen die het vuil achter laten. Als je een plaats hebt aan de kant van de straat heb je veel geluidsoverlast. Tot 11 uur \'s avonds is er een poortje dat toegang geeft tot een wandelweg langs het water langswaar je naar het centrum kan. De zee ligt op 3 km van de camping.

Zeer grote camping met twee prachtige zwembaden om af te koelen tijdens hittegolf.
Je kan reserveren voor het zwembad dmv een app van Kompas Camping. Je moet dan wel om 8 u \'s morgens bij de pinken zijn om te boeken. Zeker bij mooi weer is het boekingssysteem vergelijkbaar met Tomorrowland. Veel gegadigden, maar veel minder gelukkigen.

Wij stoppen na 38 jaar. Het is te duur voor wat je krijgt, beleid trekt op niets en enkel de jongens aan het zwembad en de jonge mensen in de taverne waren vriendelijk. Communicatie tijdens en na de lockdown: 0. Niets voor de jeugd. Organisatie reservatie zwembad trok op niets. De vaste verblijvers moeten weg om huisjes te plaatsen, dat brengt meer op. Het draait hen enkel om geld. Spijtig, want ik en mijn kinderen hadden er een super kindertijd en jeugd.
