More sinister are the Siamese babies or babies with congenital diseases in formaldehyde.<\/p>\n<h2>Lovely locations around Amsterdam<\/h2>\n<h3>Weesp<\/h3>\n<p>It&#8217;s only about 15 minutes by train from Amsterdam to the old town of <a href=\"https:\/\/thingstodoinamsterdam.com\/day-trip-from-amsterdam\/weesp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Weesp<\/a>. It&#8217;s an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle. There are plenty of beautiful historic locations this old fortified town.<\/p>\n<h3>Muiden<\/h3>\n<p>If you want a better picture of what life is like in the Netherlands outside of Amsterdam, it&#8217;s worth it to plan a visit to <a href=\"https:\/\/thingstodoinamsterdam.com\/day-trip-from-amsterdam\/muiden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Muiden<\/a>. The Dutch capital has direct connections to cities like Rotterdam, Antwerp, Brussels, Lille, and Paris on the high-speed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thalys.com\/nl\/en\/info-services\/timetable\/amsterdam\/paris\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Thalys<\/a>. You can also easily travel to Amsterdam by train from other Dutch cities.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to head to Amsterdam by bus from a European city, you can also take a Flix bus. Public transport is one of the easiest and most comfortable ways to get to Amsterdam. Want to reach Amsterdam by car? Keep in mind that it&#8217;s a more expensive, time-consuming option than public transport.<\/p>\n<h3>Rent a bike!<\/h3>\n<p>Amsterdam also has a reputation as a cycling city, and that&#8217;s no exaggeration. Cycling through the city centre is not only fast, but also the way most Amsterdammers themselves travel. There are dozens of places in Amsterdam where you can <a href=\"https:\/\/thingstodoinamsterdam.com\/transport\/cycling-bike-rental-tours\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">rent a bike<\/a>. Are you camping near Amsterdam? You&#8217;ll be in beautiful, green surroundings just past the hustle and bustle of the city, but it&#8217;s easy to get into the heart of Amsterdam by bike or public transport. We&#8217;ve got five campsite tips for you around Amsterdam.<\/p>\n<h3>Campsite Het Amsterdamse Bos<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurocampings.co.uk\/netherlands\/north-holland\/amstelveen\/campsite-het-amsterdamse-bos-105470\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Campsite Het Amsterdamse Bos<\/a> is located on the edge of Amsterdam and is easily accessible by metro. Although the city centre is close by, you can camp here in a beautiful corner of countryside. You can camp with your own tent, caravan, or motorhome, but they also have caravans and bungalows available to rent. Bicycles can be rented at the campsite, and it only takes about half an hour to cycle into the city centre.<\/p>\n<h3>Campsite de Badhoeve<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurocampings.co.uk\/netherlands\/north-holland\/amsterdam\/camping-de-badhoeve-108372\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Campsite De Badhoeve<\/a> is an excellent choice for water sports enthusiasts. The campsite is located on the Kinselmeer and the Amsterdam IJmeer, so you can combine the hustle and bustle of the city with the peace and quiet of the countryside during your city break. Alternate a day in Amsterdam with a day of canoeing. Canoes, kayaks, and bicycles can be rented at the campsite.
