Then please note that the maximum speed on two-way roads has been reduced from 1 July 2018. It&#8217;s been reduced by 10 km\/h, so from 90 km\/h to 80 km\/h.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This change applies to two-way roads without a central reservation, or &#8216;routes nationales&#8217; (national roads) and &#8216;routes d\u00e9partementales&#8217; (regional roads). Good to know before you start your trip to France! Extra tip: Check if you need to update your navigation system to take this change into account.<\/p>\n<h2>On the road with a car and caravan<\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;re going on holiday with a car and a caravan with a combined weight of less than 3500 kilograms, you&#8217;ll also need to abide by the new maximum speed.
