Paris is a fascinating destination all year round. An autumn trip to this metropolis is an excellent idea. The city is a lot less busy, but just as charming. Another advantage: campsites near Paris are often extra affordable in the low season. We can recommend several campsites with comfortable (and warm!) accommodation and reveal some of the best activities \u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Camping in autumn<\/h2>\n

Is\u00a0there anything cosier than gathering around a stove or heater while the temperature drops outside? It\u2019s the time of year to enjoy a truly comfortable camping holiday in a bungalow, chalet or glamping tent. Although there might be fewer activities on the campsite, there is plenty of entertainment to be enjoyed in Paris. Plus, the city of love is easily accessible from all campsites mentioned in this blog.<\/p>\n

– Camping Sandaya Paris Maisons Laffitte<\/h3>\n

This four-star campsite<\/a> is located in a unique spot: on a little island in the Seine, situated in a chic suburb of Paris. The large park For\u00eat Domaniale de Saint-Germain-en-Laye is within walking distance. The campsite features several cottages (mobile homes). You can also book one of the various treehouses for an extra special experience.<\/p>\n

Of course there is a campsite restaurant, but with Paris only 15 kilometres away, it\u2019s tempting to go out for dinner. How do you reach Paris? A ten-minute walk from the campsite will take you to a metro station. Twenty minutes later you\u2019re in the centre of Paris. Plus, Versailles is only a 30-minute drive. Tickets for this enormous castle can be bought at the campsite.<\/p>\n

– Camping de Paris (CCA)<\/h3>\n

A\u00a0modern campsite<\/a>\u00a0located on the banks of the Seine and on the edge of the famous Bois de Boulogne. The green surroundings don\u2019t betray the fact that you are close to Paris, yet you can reach the city for example by walking \u00a0through Bois de Boulogne for less than an hour. An advantage of the wooded area is being able to camp in the shade for a large part of the year.<\/p>\n

This campsite also has its own restaurant, but if you\u2019re looking for more choice you can find plenty of bistros or restaurants in Paris itself. As mentioned before, the city can even be reached on foot (or by bike). The faster option is the shuttle bus. The shuttle bus departs from the campsite to a nearby metro station (Porte Maillot) every 30 minutes.<\/p>\n

– Camping Huttopia Versailles (CCA)<\/h3>\n

This campsite might not be located directly on the river Seine, but still is an interesting base for a visit to Paris. As the name reveals, this terraced campsite<\/a> surrounded by trees is nearby Versailles. That makes a visit to the former castle of many famous French kings a must. Paris is easily accessible from Huttopia Versailles. It\u2019s a ten-minute walk to metro station Gare de Porchefontaine, from where you can continue your journey into the city.<\/p>\n

The campsite itself has several facilities, for example a pizza restaurant (with pizzas baked on a wood fire), a recreation room (with TV, games and books) and excellent toilet facilities. Just like at Campsite Sandaya Paris Maisons Lafitte, you can purchase your tickets for Versailles at Huttopia Versailles in order to skip the line.<\/p>\n
