Parked inside or out \u2013 use a cover!<\/h2>\n

Using a protective cover for a caravan or motorhome can considerably increase its life span. Without a cover, especially if your caravan or camper is outside, it might be damaged by the weather and other environmental influences. An unnecessary shame! A protective cover ensures that your camping gear remains in optimal condition. It keeps your caravan or motorhome dry and protects it from dirt, dust and UV radiation.<\/p>\n

Even if your caravan or motorhome is in a garage or storage facility, you should still wrap it in a cover. After all, just think of your books and trinkets at home: things that don\u2019t get used for a while always end up covered in a layer of dust. The same goes for your caravan or camper when it stays in the same place for a few months. We don\u2019t really need to expand: if you don\u2019t want to have to clean your camping gear when it\u2019s time to head out again, you should use a cover.<\/p>\n

Things to take into account when buying a protective cover<\/h2>\n

Length x width: <\/strong>protective covers are available in various sizes. To be sure you get the right size, measure your caravan from the rear light to the front of the drawbar box. You do not have to include the drawbar. Measuring a motorhome is even easier, just measure the entire length. The width of a caravan or camper will usually be between 220 and 255 cm.<\/p>\n

Breathability:<\/strong> if you use a cover that doesn’t breathe, your camping gear may absorb moisture and develop mould or rust. And that will have a negative impact on the quality of your caravan or motorhome! So make sure you use breathable cloth. Never use an ordinary tarp. Tarp is waterproof, but doesn\u2019t breathe.<\/p>\n

Zippers:<\/strong> you can buy protective covers with and without zippers. If you are putting your caravan or motorhome in storage and won\u2019t be using it again for a few months, then you can easily use a cover without a zipper. But if you want to go inside during your camping gear\u2019s hibernation, to repair something or to put that nice camping present you received for Christmas in your caravan, then a protective cover with zipper will come in very handy! It just makes it easier to get into the caravan by opening the zippers.<\/p>\n
