1 km from the historic town of Nin, the oldest town in Croatia, you'll find the four star camping site Zaton Holiday Resort. This super luxury camping site is located on a flat 6 ha property full of pine trees. Also nice: the location in a lovely bay of the Adriatic See with slowly sloping sea floor.

Awesome place! Best recommendation for families with children. Big camping places in shadow, clean toilets. We were super happy with the swimming course for our small son.

We stayed here for 5 days in june, the staff were friendly although the reception could do with being bigger and more staffed as its always busy.We were 2 rows from the beach on a large fully serviced pitch .There is some noise on this camp but its a holiday camp so expect it ....not to bad.
bus connection to Zadar at site, also if you do not wish to leave the site it has everything you could want.
Would recommend especially for families. ..lots of money has been spent on this huge site and they are improving it all the time.....we stayed in a motorhome but cabins are further away from beach.

This is a huge site with over a 1000 pitches, lots of statics and apartments. We were there in the second half of May when the site was reasonably quiet. Once again it is one of the sites that is very popular with the German and Dutch. We were one of two English caravans.
The pitches are mainly on the large side big enough for a large caravan, awning and a couple of cars. Most seem to have their own water and drainage and there is a decent amount of shade provided by trees.
It is possible to feel overwhelmed on arrival as the site is more like a village than a campsite with about 6 restaurants and coffee bars, supermarket, bakery, souvenir shops and a wine shop but you soon get acclimatise. There is a large swimming pool and a huge sandy beach. Seems extremely well suited for children and although it is only May the animation team are here and keen to involve you in their various games. I am not sure I would like to be here in high season as I suspect it gets extremely lively and noisy in the evening. If you like that sort of thing you will love it here. We very much enjoyed the site during its quiet period. Whilst we were there was a reasonable amount of building work going, seeming to involve installing new mobile homes, a new toilet block and annual maintenance. I am sure this will all be complete by the end of June.
Happy to recommend.

This is a very large site with every conceivable facility.
With 1500 pitches which when we visited in mid June was almost full.
Sanitary facilities in the block nearest to our pitch were exceptional, almost hotel standard.
Travelling as a couple, we soon decided this site was not for us as we found it too busy. However, this wasn't the sites fault but rather our choice of site. If you are travelling as a family or want facilities and an action packed holiday, this would be the place for you.

This campsite is excellent, the pitch we were on was flat, large and fully serviced, with a good level of shade. The toilets and showers are the best we have seen on a campsite and always clean. The cubicles were all good sizes with plenty of hangers and places to put your clothes etc and plenty of hot water.
The shops on site were well stocked with reasonable prices and the food in the restaurants was of a very good standard. We especially loved the ice cream!
The swimming pools were very good, having pools suitable for both children and adults and there were plenty of other sporting facilities. In addition there is a nice beach area with the water being clean and shallow enough to be safe for young children.
We found the staff helpful and informative about our location and surroundings.
We would certainly return to this campsite.

The mobile home we stayed in was cozy, yet there was enough space for everyone . The nightly shows at the theater were very much enjoyable. Also activities for children all ages were always present. Although many of the additional activities were extra charge.

The site has a holiday camp atmosphere. It was very crowded and noisy. The beach was small and very crowded. Eyewateringly expensive.

4 Sleepless nights thanks to bad management of this site who open the Disco for 'special groups' of revellers at 02:00AM and allow it to continue till 05:30 AM.
To be honest we were glad to see the back of this overpriced and overrated campsite that spoilt our vacation.
