City Camping Hjørring lies in a small forest on the outskirts of the town of Hjørring. Because of its location in the upper Nordjylland region, this is an ideal stopover camping site for campers on their way to Norway or Sweden. However, the camping site also forms an excellent base for a city visit to Hjørring. Stay on a camping pitch around the large swimming pool or in one of the little red huts, which are especially suitable for an overnight stop.
Camping pitches and 'hytter'
More than 130 touring pitches are spread over the grassy fields, which are separated by hedges. The green camping site is surrounded by a small forest. When you stand on a pitch at the perimeter of the grounds, you will always have some shade from the tall trees.
If you have not brought your own camping equipment, you can stay overnight in one of the 'hytter', the huts on the edge of the camping site. The little red buildings, which offer bedding for two or three persons only, are in the majority. Some of these huts also have a two-ring cooker. The 'hytter' are fine for one night, although for a longer stay you may not find them comfortable enough. Guests can also choose one of the slightly larger yellow huts.
The rectangular, spacious swimming pool is centrally located on the camping grounds. It is not spectacular, but it is the main source of entertainment on the camping site. Children in particular will thoroughly enjoy themselves here on the water slide or in the toddler pool. The swimming pool is surrounded by a large number of loungers. Ideal for soaking up the sun on a warm day.
