Camping under the watchful eye of a stylish castle, it's possible in the Dordogne! Camping Château Le Verdoyer adjoins the domain of the castle of the same name in the wooded countryside around the village of Champs-Romain. The terraces on the fancy campsite are shaded by trees and offer - on the edge of the site - a beautiful view of woods, ponds and fields. Take a dip in the swimming pool and eat in the castle's restaurant.

A wooded nature reserve with a view

On the campsite there are over 100 touring pitches and 75 rental accommodations (mainly chalets and mobile homes, but also some lodge tents) in a beautiful wooded nature reserve. The jagged terrain, which is built up from terraces, is completely surrounded by ponds, woods and lawns. As a result, the pitches at the edges have beautiful views. The central pitches are nice and shady.

Swimming at the castle

There is plenty to do for young and old at camping Château Le Verdoyer. Swimming for example: the campsite has several swimming pools. The outdoor pool is the most beautiful. You can swim and play with a view of the castle. If the weather is not so good, you can go to the indoor swimming pool.

Fashion shows and musical evenings

Theme weeks, musical evenings and children's shows: in the summer months there is something going on at the campsite every week. For example, you can enjoy a drink in the restaurant while enjoying an acoustic performance. And your children can take part in the playback and/or fashion shows. After eleven o'clock in the evening it's almost always quiet again on the campsite.

Liked - Leuk opgezette camping. Het chateau is erg mooi en het binnenplaatsje is erg gezellig. Verder schoon sanitair en een mooie omgeving. Vriendelijk personeel.
Disliked - Helaas is het binnenzwembad niet warm genoeg voor baby’s. Ook is er geen toezicht in het binnenzwembad. Hierdoor houden kinderen in het zwembad zich niet aan de regels.

Wij waren hier eerder geweest en zeer tevreden. Maar wat is deze camping achteruit gegaan. Kleine kinderbadje was gewoon smerig. Binnenbad iets beter maar ook vuil. Rondom de kliko\'s leek het wel een vuilnishoop. Overal op de camping vind je kapotte zaken die daar gestald zijn. Bomen veel te veel en veel te hoog. Komt geen zon meer door. Schaduw kan men maken, maar zon niet.
Voor ons niet meer. Vraag me af of de acsi er inderdaad geweest is, want beoordeling klopt, nu in ieder geval, echt niet.

Liked - Een mooie ruime plek voor de tent met elektra en water. De omgeving is vrij rustig met mooi uitzicht. Mijn kinderen hebben zich goed kunnen vermaken met de aangeboden animatie.
Disliked - Het toiletgebouw was ondermaats met achterstallig onderhoud. Missende plafondplaten, alle wc brillen zaten los en de spiegels zaten vol bruine (roest?) Plekken.
Het zwembad was echt vies. Normaal zijn mijn kinderen niet bij het zwembad weg te slaan, nu gingen ze liever niet zwemmen. Aanslag aan de randen, een gladde slijkerige bodem en troebel water. Ook de trap bij de glijbaan was krakkemikkig.
De speeltuintjes op de camping zijn minimaal, klein, verouderd en vooral geschikt voor erg jonge kinderen. Verder ligt de camping vrij afgelegen. De zwemvijver is meer een visvijver.

Liked - Visvijver. Mooi opgezette camping. Prachtige natuurlijk en een gezellig terras met goede bediening.
Disliked - We misten enthousiasme bij het animatie team.

Liked - Mooie en overzichtelijke camping met alle noodzakelijke voorzieningen aanwezig. Nederlands sprekende eigenaren. Sfeervolle en mooie omgeving.

Aanrader is Brantome en Grand Etang de Estephe (meertje). Mocht je naar de grotten van Villars willen, reserveer dan vooraf online. Dat voorkomt een lange wachttijd.
Disliked - Zwembad niet denderend en de douches niet altijd warm.

Liked - Animatie was leuk, ook regelmatig in de avond live muziek. Het toilet gebouw en de zwembaden hebben wel echt een opknapbeurt nodig. Gedurende onze vakantie werden de zwembaden steeds groener en troebeler, over het peuterbadje (welke overigens de eerste week zelfs leeg was) maar niet te spreken. De plekken zijn daar in tegen erg mooi en ruim, locatie bij het kasteel is prachtig. Kleine snackbar aanwezig waar keihard gewerkt wordt om je naar het zin te maken. Het winkeltje verkoopt helaas geen fruit of groente
Disliked - Niet echt een geschikte camping voor een camper
