Camping La Grande Veyière is situated near the village of Molières, amidst the beautiful nature of the Dordogne. The campsite is beautifully located in the forests of the Dordogne and Vézère river valleys. You camp here in the vicinity of pre-historical sites where you can visit caves, but also near castles and beautiful towns and villages.

Friendly farm campsite

The reception exudes an atmosphere of the original farmlife of days gone by. You will be welcomed by the owners Griet and Philippe. Griet speaks Dutch. When you drive to your pitch, you will see a beautifully located campsite with spacious pitches on a slightly sloping terrain. The campsite is surrounded by beautiful forests. The terrain is of a modest size, but spaciously laid out. The campsite has 45 pitches. If you travel without your own camping gear, you can rent a mobile home or a lodge tent. La Grande Veyière is a terraced campsite. The higher your pitch, the more beautiful the view.

Cafeteria and shop

In the campsite shop you can buy basic groceries. The campsite also has a snack bar. You can eat your meals in a beautiful old building. Fresh bread is available in the morning. Take-away meals, including breakfast, are available. There is a communal barbecue area on the grounds.

Extensive sanitary facilities

Camping La Grande Veyière has beautiful and extensive sanitary facilities. These include individual cubicles, showers, toilets and sanitary facilities for the disabled. Also available: a baby room, family sanitary facilities and a provision for emptying chemical toilets of motorhomes or caravans.

Liked - Lovely forest site with family friendly facilities
Disliked - A little expensive. Electric pitch sold to us but a long way from pitch through somebody else’s pitch. Had to extinguish BBQ after lighting due to fire rules. But these were not advised in advance and not clear anywhere on site

Liked - The children liked the variiety of games and activities. We liked the way things are well organised and managed, in a relaxed and non- intrusive manner.We found the general atmosphere very pleasant.
Disliked - A few times the children locked themselves into toilets. The locking mechanisms are a bit stiff.

Liked - Loved the pitch - lovely spot. This is our third stay here - great relaxed atmosphere. Friendly, quiet and tranquil.
Disliked - The flies. Some flie catchers around the campsite might be helpful.

Liked - Friendly welcome as always. Beautiful pitches with plenty of space and shade, in a lovely quiet setting. Good attention to detail to things like eco-friendliness and this year in particular to the Covid measures, which were sensible but not excessive.

Liked - Great place to camp, large places with relative privacy, small but fine swimming pool, hot showers. Great entertainment from 21:00 - 23:00 for ca 3 times a week. Simple and decent food (pizza, crepes, frites), delicious cocktails (with and without alcohol) and yammy ice. Option to use one of their 3 bbq's.
Very friendly family that runs the place. After 23:00, the camping is really quiet. No people talking loud, no kids running around any more. We'd definitely would like to come back.
Disliked - Minor issue: Venues are about 20+ mins driving along a small and windy road.

Liked - A fabulous campsite in a stunning location. Well run with good facilities, lovely pool, great playground, ping pong, relaxed but not hectic bar). A sensible And thoughtful level of Covid precautions in place.
